For a chain in a mall the service from beginning to end is surprisingly quick and approachable. Compared to other Shanghai and Chinese restaurants in general, the final products are of noticeably higher finesse. This isn't fine dining, but dishes are not just slapped on the plate nor are said plates then slapped on your table.
Servers are surprisingly attentive but do ask before making any assumptions and interfering with your meal. Even the additional notes you are asked to provide while placing an order actually end up at your table. The whole environment is actually more pleasant than you'd expect.
My only slight qualm is that the portion sizes are not slightly larger but at least they are up to a standard in this respect unlike many other restaraunts that mortified me recently. I'm simply a big eater.
