Our meal began with the Gratinée French Onion Soup Toast with Gruyère Cheese. This dish was a perfect introduction to the heartiness of French cuisine. The soup was rich and flavorful, with caramelized onions that melded beautifully with a robust broth. The toasted bread, topped generously with melted Gruyère, added a delightful crunch, making each spoonful a comforting delight.

Next up was the Baked Tiger Prawn with Garlic Butter. These prawns were succulent and tender, swimming in a luscious pool of garlic-infused butter. Each bite was a burst of umami, with the garlic providing a fragrant kick that paired wonderfully with a slice of crusty baguette.

For the main course, I opted for the Traditional French Duck Confit & Duck Fat Potato. The duck was cooked to perfection; the skin was crispy and golden, while the meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The accompanying duck fat potatoes were a revelation—crispy on the outside and fluffy within, they were simply irresistible. This dish was a celebration of French culinary tradition and a highlight of the evening.

My companion chose the Spaghetti with Porcini & Garlic. This dish showcased the kitchen's ability to blend Italian influences seamlessly into the French repertoire. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente, and the earthy porcinis, combined with fragrant garlic, created a comforting yet refined dish that I would gladly return for.

To finish, we indulged in the Hazelnut Chocolate Ice Cream with Bread Pudding. This dessert was a decadent conclusion to our meal. The ice cream was rich and creamy, with a delightful nuttiness that complemented the warm, moist bread pudding beautifully. It felt like a cozy hug in dessert form, leaving us perfectly satisfied.
