One of Happy Valley’s all time favourites Locanda dell’ Angelo now has a sister shop right next door, sharing their very own kitchen, serving quality pastas for a fraction of their prices.
I personally found the starters zucchini croquettes and mixed mushroom and potato soup particularly memorable. The croquettes were fresh out of the fryer with the right amount of crunch. For pastas, we ordered the Homemade Scialatielli with Italian Sausage, Black Pepper, Pecorino Cheese and Linguine alle Vongole. The scialatielli was a tad chewy for my taste and the vongole (clams) were not exactly fresh. That said, the overall quality of the dishes were high at their price points. Recommend it to anyone looking for a quality pasta fix by a Bombana alumni.
The number of seating is however limited and advance booking is only limited to 2 tables per session, so you may need to try your luck by walking in. The night of our visit I waited for a table for about 30 minutes. Not too bad for a Sunday evening.
