We passed by this newly-opened cafe several times but every time ended up not trying. As a desserts lover, croffles on their menu caught my attention. Feeling something sweet to energize myself today, this cafe immediately popped up in my head so I recommended to have lunch here!

It was a weekday so we didn't make reservation. Place isn't big so tables are mainly for 2. We have 3 people in total, the staff is super friendly to add an extra table and chair for us after we got in.

We ordered 1 lunch set, 1 combo set and 2 croffles to share . For the lunch set, we chose creamy matsube crab meat pasta as main, homemade pumpkin soup as starter and apple juice as drink. For the combo set, we chose pearl rice with japanese vegetable meat roll, crispy horse mackercel and mentaiko tamago. My friend also requested moscato as drink. For the croffles' flavours, we picked homemade custard and taro milk cap.

The lunch set came first. Crab meat pasta was al dente, portion was perfect to fill us up. However, it was a bit dry. I believe it could be better if there's more pasta sauce. Apple juice was fresh-made type, served in cup with no ice. Sweetness and sourness on point, love it!

The combo set came next. Japanese vegetable meat roll was a light and refreshing dish. Pork meat was wrapped in a large piece of cabbage. Sweet cabbage juice splashed into the mouth when I bite into it, yum! Horse mackercel was fried perfectly with thin batter. We didn't have it hot but it was still crispy even cooled down. More importantly, it wasn't fishy at all!

Finally the 2 croffles came, visual wasn't 10/10 at first sight. But these 2 are the best examples of 'never judge the desserts by their looks'. Homemade custard one came with a scoop of vanila ice cream and lemon zest. Croffles was crunchy and hot, pairing it with the cold ice cream brought you straight to heaven. Lemon zest added a tangy flavor to balance out the sweetness of custard. Everything's well-balanced. Taro milk cap one was a huge surprise! Taro paste was rich, creamy and smooth. It wasn't the fully-blended type of paste, there're still some taro grains in it to add some texture. Milk cap was a bit salty so it matched so well with the sweet paste. This croffle combination is fantastic and not commonly seen at other places. Highly recommend you to try!

Overall, I prefer the sweet items over savoury items on its menu. I would definitely be back to try out the other croffle flavours. Suggest you to make reservation even on weekdays cuz there aren't many seats!
