We finally went to try the Acqua de Parma Afternon Tea before it ended in March at Island Shangri-La's Lobby Lounge. This special edition was inspired by Le Nobili Collection, showcasing the five fragrances and colors--Iris, Magnolia, Jasmine, Rose, and Peony of an Italian garden. The theme went well with classical decoration in the high-ceiling lobby with hanging lights, luxuriant furnishings, and pretty crockery. The theme went well with classical decoration in the high-ceiling lobby with hanging lights, luxuriant furnishings, and pretty crockery. We were amazed by the view overlooking the 147 year-old Banyan Tree, the most expensive preserved tree in the world, right in front of us as we never knew where it was until now.

The servers were pleasant and kept our tea pots replenished with hot water. We liked that the servers were dressed in creamy fur vest and cheongsam. The uniform was lovely except that the hemline was a little too high.

In terms of food, it was delicate and delectable and presented in a refreshing three-tier clear patterned glass.

We were reminded to eat the scones first while they were still warm and moist. We liked that it was golden raisin.

The savory items were all tasty and fresh. I personally liked Blue crab meat, tarragon, pink pepper sandwich and the delicate Dill marinated salmon, mascarpone cheese, honey mustard for that miniature dill on a drop of honey mustard that felt so good in my mouth.

Onto desserts, there were quite a few of mousse varieties and tasted equally unique. I liked the Iconic·Lemon mousse and sponge the most. Rose·Rose and vanilla macaroon was fragrant and creamy while Jasmine·Pink pepper and mandarin mousse on speculoos crust had a surprisingly crispy texture and tangy taste.

The tableware and furnishings looked not so brand new but everything else was classically delightful, relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable. It was an afternoon well spent at the Lobby Lounge.
