I was able to have the croissant and dinner in two separate occasions. I must say, the croissant is worth going back for. I went on a Sunday, so there wasn't much croissant choices to choose from. It was basically whatever came out of the oven. I had the chocolate croissant and it was pretty good, I think because it was still hot and crispy. The filling was different from the other chocolate croissants I've had. This one tasted more like hot chocolate, but in a thick custard consistency. Before

Before arriving at the restaurant, they did call to inform me their Amex credit card machine didn't work, which was a nice touch, but they called me several times because I wasn't able to answer the phone. I would advise them leaving a message, instead of calling many times.

As for dinner, the tables were very close together, and I felt quite claustrophobic. The ambiance was nice, good for chatting with friends. Service wasn't too professional. We weren't sure if we should speak English or Cantonese as the servers fluctuated between the two.

When I sat down, no menus nor water were given, until I asked for it several times. When the menu finally came, the food selection was too extensive, but had a good variety. The bread there was pretty good, we kept on asking for more!

We ordered the steak tartare and was quite tasteless, but the fries were excellent. Wish they served more of them. Then came the mussels. It was tasty, but was too salty for my taste.

As main course, I ordered the beef ribs with bone marrow. The meat was very tender, however, I felt the broth that came with it was very oily. After eating the whole portion, I felt it was too fatty, maybe because of the bone marrow.

During each course, we had to wait for a long time before it came out. I'm not sure if it's because it's a new restaurant, or it was intentional.

Overall, the food, and service didn't impress me. I don't think it'll be my first choice to go back again. But I'll most likely go back to try the other croissant flavours in the cafe.
