After finishing my errands at Kennedy Town area, it was already noon time. Today should be one of the coldest days of the year and it was already shivering while walking along the coastal line. Since i have taken a day off and was quite free, i decided to go back to Bistronomique but this was the first time i visited this branch. Upon seating, i was presented with their lunch menu. I could choose between salad or soup, main course and coffee or tea. If i need to have additional dessert, i need to pay extra $38. Their price range between $128 to $188, which was slightly on the high side.
After i have ordered, i was presented with a basket of bread with butter. Bread was soft and fresh, and was toasted nicely.
Caesar salad - I personally liked this salad as it was very rare that anchovies and half boiled egg were used with salad. The salad was very juicy and crunchy and at the same time, the bacon and anchovies bring out the saltiness flavour of the salad.
Braised Wagyu Ox-tail - The portion of this dish was not that big, maybe only enough for ladies' appetite. It consists of some vegetables and mashed potato. Mashed potato was done nicely, mashed till softly and creamy. Red wine sauce was dipped onto the meat and bring out the flavour of the meat. The meat was cooked till very soft and tender, tasted quite similar to pork.
Iced lemon tea - Sugar syrup was provided for me to sweeten the drink. It was a good way to end off my meal.
