After going to Shatin’s branch with quite a big of the disappointment, I did not expect that I will hop to the 3rd branch of PICI this early. BUT, I have to say the branch at Central definitely worth to pay a visit and the services and dishes are as good as what I had from the TST shop. Spent half the day at PMQ with my friend, we were looking for food and we heard that restaurants at PMQ are expensive and not quite good, rumors push us away from PMQ for tea time. We were trying to look for a decent coffee shop but to no avail, ended up seeing PICI has no queue during tea time, so… why not?
Of course, as a truffle lover, I would not miss the freshly made Tagliolini, the thin shaved black truffle with white truffle paste are everything. The shallot does the job to spice it up a little bit, overall the dish is really good but I would say that they can be more generous when shaving the truffle. Who doesn’t want more!?
Theres another one called PICI Cacio e pepe, basically there are just pepper and cheese but the flavors combined are amazing. The noodles are thick, rubbery and definitely need time to chew. The cheese and pepper blend really well together and it lingers in the mouth for so long. Another thing I like about this one is that the cheese is not overpowering so that you don't feel stagnantly full.
The environment is cozy and the staff is very helpful! On a side note, there’s no service charge.
