i recently visited Chez Didier Bistro in North Point, with my wife and my parents who were visiting! the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, so we were worried we would have to wait a while but that was not the case! withing 10 minutes we received our 3 entrees. we had a crab salad, pan seared foie gras and an iberico ham salad, they were all delicious!! especially the iberico hamAs a main course we all shared 4 courses, 2 a la carte and 2 specials, the first was a bouillabaisse seafood
As a main course we all shared 4 courses, 2 a la carte and 2 specials, the first was a bouillabaisse seafood stew, which had an excellent fish soup and rouille sauce croutons and emmental cheese to accompany it.
The third course was a homemade confit duck leg with figs sauce, this was a well executed dish served on a board! very bistro style!
The 2 specials we had were a french pigeon! this was an excellent dish! really delicious also served on a board! The second special we had was a traditonal cassoulet pot which consisted of a toulouse sausage, confit duck leg and porc belly! this was served really hot perfect for the cold weather!
we ordered 2 desserts to share, 1 chestnut mousse and 1 red berry mousse
overal great evening! good food and service! just before we left, the chef himself came to greet us and gave us each a shot of his special home made alcoholic mixes!wow they were strong lol
would definately recommend!
