Fabulous food, carefully prepared, and attentive service in a cozy environment - a great dinner experience!Treated good friends from Tokyo there last night, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We picked two different sets (each set serving two, about 1050 and 1150 a set, I think) of 6 course dinner. The steak tartare came out great, even though I am not a huge fan for raw meat in general. They were also flexible (the steak tartare was a subsititute, since we really wanted to try it). The ladies were really impressed with the salad. The duck in 3 ways (smoked, braised, and a pate) was good - especially the braised which was juicy yet crispy on the ouside. Two fish dishes were both nice with very fresh fish (local fish). A stewed rabbit was also on the menu and it was very tender. The desserts were superb. Hazelnut mousse was intense in the flavor, and both came with very elaborate decoration/accompanion of several sauces with quite impressive presentation! We had our own wine, but a glance at the wine list (2 pages) suggested a carefully selected list with mid-tier prices $350-$500 a bottle. The chef came out multiple times to check with us, and was very informative of the materials he used (he flies two packages from France a week, plus locally selected fish and produce). The cooking, style, and service were all consistent with "small town in Provence" (where the chef is from) positioning. A well enjoyed evening, indeed!

I visited this place with my French boyfriend and we were all amazed by the clean and sensitive taste of their food.We ordered pan fried fish and steak. I was quite amazed that the chef chose a local fish - not the frozen sea bass chosen by most western restaurants, he understands fresh ingredients are much more important than the type of the fish. The green pesto sauce was a perfect match. My boy friend liked the steak very much and he said it is good meat with a authentic french cooking method. What moved us was that we asked for a specific dish which was not seasonal, and the chef just told us honestly he could cook for us but may not be original - we really appreciated the honesty and passion for serving good food. The last is the sugar crepe - a simple way of cooking but we all agree it is the best way to cook sweet pancake - just butter and sugar. Simple but delicious. The food is authentic, and the taste is delicate. Strongly recommend!

i recently visited Chez Didier Bistro in North Point, with my wife and my parents who were visiting! the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, so we were worried we would have to wait a while but that was not the case! withing 10 minutes we received our 3 entrees. we had a crab salad, pan seared foie gras and an iberico ham salad, they were all delicious!! especially the iberico hamAs a main course we all shared 4 courses, 2 a la carte and 2 specials, the first was a bouillabaisse seafood stew, which had an excellent fish soup and rouille sauce croutons and emmental cheese to accompany it.The third course was a homemade confit duck leg with figs sauce, this was a well executed dish served on a board! very bistro style! The 2 specials we had were a french pigeon! this was an excellent dish! really delicious also served on a board! The second special we had was a traditonal cassoulet pot which consisted of a toulouse sausage, confit duck leg and porc belly! this was served really hot perfect for the cold weather! we ordered 2 desserts to share, 1 chestnut mousse and 1 red berry mousse. These were both beautifully presented as my wife would say! they also tasted great! overal great evening! good food and service! just before we left, the chef himself came to greet us and gave us each a shot of his special home made alcoholic mixes!wow they were strong lolwould definately recommend!
