To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Was randomly checking out taiwanese restaurants and came across this restaurant on openrice, which had a really old school nostalgic decoration inside so decided to give it a go. The walls were decorated with alot of vintage items such as cameras and posters. Seating was spacious as well. I decided to order a deep fried pork…. And i asked the waiter specifically if it was deep fried and not pan fried. He confirmed many times it was deep fried. The dish arrived 5 minutes after i ordered which was surprisingly quick. The pork was indeed pan fried and i asked the waiter again and he stubbornly said its kind of deep fried. The meat was grainy and it was definitely precooked awhile ago. The other dish we ate was the chicken which was also precooked awhile ago. In the end we took a few pics of the restaurant but didnt really eat much if any of the food and went elsewhere to find something else to eat. Conclusion is come to this place if you like the interior but not if you wanna eat good food. 🤷🏻‍♂️
