The past few times we've eaten at Hong Kong Day, it's always been not too good. But these were other locations. And as we were in Admiralty and I was super hungry, we just decided to eat here as the other choices weren't interesting at all.Hong Kong Day is a chain of fast food restaurants serving cha chaan teng type food. Hong Kong Day is a chain of fast food restaurants serving cha chaan teng type food. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge and ordering is done by QR code ordering system that is in English and Chinese and was smooth to use. We were here during afternoon tea time so that afternoon tea menu was available. Sets came with a drink.
I decided on the noodles with mince meat and chicken leg ($48). It looked good.
The mince meat was mixed and lost in the soup. The soup had a layer of shrimp oil which gave it an extra bit of umami. The only thing as the rice noodles were soggy. Definitely cooked too long.
The chicken leg was really good. The skin was crisp and not too fat. The meat was super juicy. So juicy, the oil just leaked flowed out when I cut into it.
They say it always depends on the branch and this seems to be true here. The food was decent even though the noodles were overcooked. But most of the rest made up for it. Price was not expensive as well. Could come back to this one.
