My husband ordered the one person Padang set and I ordered a GadoGado sald and a beef cake.The portions in the Padang set are reasonable. I found the dressing in the GadoGado salad too heavy. I wanted to finish it all, but the dressing was too salty, and I kept reaching for my water. The taste and texture of the beef cakes were okay, but again on the too salty side.Service was okay but not particularly friendly. Empty dishes were removed promptly. The portions in the Padang set are reasonable. I found the dressing in the GadoGado salad too heavy. I wanted to finish it all, but the dressing was too salty, and I kept reaching for my water. The taste and texture of the beef cakes were okay, but again on the too salty side.
Service was okay but not particularly friendly. Empty dishes were removed promptly. But when it was clear we had laid down our forks and spoons, the waitresses did not ask if we had finished and just walked by, leaving our plates there.
All in all, just an ok meal. We had wanted to go the Outback upstairs, and wandered in because the Outback was full. If Padang had done a better job overall, we might have been pleasantly surprised, but we were not.
