It's January, but the weather is really nice outside, especially when you've just come back from NYC and Philadelphia. The server and several of the patrons looked at us like we were insane sitting outside, but the small space is rather nice and the view is... OK.

We ordered the 2 course set for $138 (I think) The bread came warm and soft. It was good. B-

The Caesar salad was fancy, to say the least. The romaine wasn't cut or even pulled apart into leaves. On top was a judicious amount of dressing, a small number of croutons, some lardons, parmesan, and a whole anchovie. On the side was a duck egg, by the look of it. I'm going to say that, for what it was, as a first-course salad, it was great. A

I was kind of in a fish mood, but my wife ordered the salmon so I decided to change it up with the chicken. I don't recall the menu mentioning that there was a cheese sauce, but anyway, there was a cheese sauce. It was thin and not overly cheesy, but really unnecessary. The chicken was firm and tender at the same time, if you get that, and reasonably juicy too. I didn't really care for the potatoes (bland) or the salad (redundant when I just ate a salad). On the whole, it was nice enough. B-

I don't know what it was about my wife's salmon but it was not particularly good. By means of elaborating on that claim, we regularly cook better salmon at our house. She says that it was "OK" and I take it she means that it wasn't off-tasting or anything, just not very good. The potatoes were smooth and creamy and flavorful though. C

At the end of the day, I wouldn't go here again. The meal served its purpose, in that it was comparatively healthy (compared to what I'd been eating the past 3 weeks) and in the OK-to-good range. But it wasn't great, and there's other stuff to be had, especially at that price point. I'm giving it a C+: acceptable.
