I was spending my Christmas holidays in Hong Kong and we usually go to Fong Wing Kee for Hot Pot but since I told my aunt that I would like to try something new and I was not looking for anything fancy - my aunt thought of this place called "Fai Goo Hot Pot" in Kowloon City. I was so regretted and had brought up such a bad idea to have Hot Pot as dinner.A group of 4 of us went to Fai Goo for Hot Pot. The environment was not neat nor fancy at all. We ordered the super basic dishes such as Tofu
A group of 4 of us went to Fai Goo for Hot Pot. The environment was not neat nor fancy at all. We ordered the super basic dishes such as Tofu, a sample plate of beef, various veggies, Cuttlefish Paste, Goose's intestines, a sample plate of fish, one small ass clam and not to mention the so called signature Satay Soup based was like apot of brown sticky glue full of MSG!!! Absolutely nothing fancy!!!
When we were done, our check was totaled over HK$1,XXX. We were shocked as we were only eating some cheap stuff. Upon request to have the MAINLANDER waitress to show us the detail of the check for auditing purposes. We noted the followings:
* all of the common soy sauce and peanuts cost us $40.00
* The SPOONFUL size so called Cuttlefish paste was priced at $100/plate
* plus many other hidden and lousy charges!!!
CONCLUSION:
I WILL NEVER EVER COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN and IF YOU HAVE NOT DINE AT THIS PLACE BEFORE - I GUESS NEEDLESS TO SAY - DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
