Went there for a weekday lunch. The service was attentive and checked in with us regularly. We had oysters as starters which were sweet and juicy. The house bread is a focaccia and a grissini using filo pastry. The grissini was crispy and light, the focaccia was a touch dry. It came with a house-made crab-chili oil, which went well. I had a chicken broth. It was served in a coffee cup, piping hot and if you like strong flavours, this is amazing. It's like the essence of 20 chickens rolled into little cappuccino cup. Must have! For the mains, we had a scallop pasta, red prawn pasta, and a crab rice. It was very seafood focused.
The scallops were done just right, soft and glistering centres. Pasta was al dente with enough sauce to the last bite. The red prawn pasta looked great and tasted just as good. The rice was something special, like a paella and then mixed with the crab roe on serving. It was savoury, but still sweet with the crab. Another must have like the soup.
The decor is understated with some pop-out art-pieces like the animal portraits on the back wall. Overall, it's a lovely place to take a partner for a date-night or a gathering with a few friends for a few glasses of burgundy over a delicious multicourse meal.
