Mon Kee Cafe was one of my go-to lunch places when I worked in Quarry Bay, but the queue would always be so long, so it’s better to go during dinner time (plus there’s more options to choose from at night)Although their tomato soup may not be their most famous dish, it’s definitely one of my faves! Their most famous dish is actually the scrambled eggs with fried BBQ pork rice, but the essence is in the secret homemade soy sauce, which has a uniquely sweet taste. I decided to try something different for a change, and they were quite generous with the portion of the juicy shrimp and high-quality beef, but I think I’ll stick with the BBQ pork next time, as it goes better with the sauce.
