To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. other than the fact that it’s either this or other overpriced cafes around the area, cafe boheme boasts incredibly tight tables, overpriced foods and gruff service. we ordered a simple aglio e olio ($128) and a tagliatelle carbonara ($148). pretty standard food and pricing for the area and cuisine, but the aglio e olio tasted of nothing but pasta water that made my lips tingle, and carbonara somehow tasted the same. as for the service, it wasn’t horrible, but it was unclear whether we had to lineup first or ask for a table. we lined up without asking (our fault) and waited for around 15 mins before the host came out and blamed us for not asking for a table. small open air restaurant with tables spaced at less than an arm’s length apart. overall, not horrible but not great.

* ps, the infused water has a really weird flavour to it, it was slightly bitter with a taste that we couldn’t really place. very small detail to point out but it was something you ought to know
