Originally I thought this $95 tempura don comes in a set with miso soup and dessert, turned out that I would have to add $33 for the add-on set.To be honest, the Don was not as good as expected. Everything was deep-fried (don’t order this if you are not a fan) and they were served with rice and just a bit of tempura sauce (which was not quite enough). Perhaps I should have gone for the grilled one instead of tempura...Apart from the pork, nothing was really special and I would have expected more for $95(+10%). I need to highlight the deep-fried seaweed, it tasted bland, dry and stiff, rather than flavourful and crispy.
Not sure if I would return for another meal. Yet the variety of choices is indeed too limited. If you are opting for dynamic range of Japanese don/set, I am afraid this is not the best restaurant for you.
