Hidden on Peel street, here is known of its Brazilian-Japanese fusion dishes that’s rarely found in town. We came here on a late Sunday evening and there were many empty tables. Their appetizers were better than the main. Biggest disappointment was their rib eye steak, it’s really hard to chew. Their flammable dessert was also not instagrammable enough..🥂Hamachi Aguachile $170It’s more like a salad with some fresh hamachi, cucumber, radish, pickled red onion and coriander together. 🥂Hamachi Aguachile $170
It’s more like a salad with some fresh hamachi, cucumber, radish, pickled red onion and coriander together. Sprinkled some furikakes on top and seasoned with shio-koji tiger milk to elevate flavours. Quite refreshing after all.
🥂Mexilhao a Baiana $150
Tomato, garlic, bell pepper and coriander could never go wrong with mussels. Added puffed rice for some Japanese elements I guess, it’s up to standard and is great to share.
🥂Avocado Roll $100
Mixing three coloured rice and wrapped with avocado, cucumber and bell pepper, it’s very western in taste. Also added some crispy cassava to strengthen the Brazilian element, can’t really beat its uniqueness.
🥂File de Costela 300g $310
Huge disappointment on this 21 Day-aged rib eye steak. We asked for medium but the middle part was closer to medium rare. It’s really hard to chew and I ended up only having one or two slices. Sauces on the side were karashi mustard, yakiniku sauce, togarashi and shiso salt.
🥂Baked Alaska $110
Added fire to Caetano’s Cachaca and thought we could see some bigger fire but it turned out to be so small and lasted very short. A thick Swiss meringue was coated outside of the mango and passion fruit ice-cream, it’s a little weird in taste and just not my cup of tea.
Though this fusion idea was special, think I won’t give it for another try.
