Booked a table for two at Sushi Shaku on a weeknight! It was empty when we arrived at 7, but soon filled up with customers! Lovely boutique Japanese restaurant ran by Chef Shing! All skewers were made to order, fresh and great quality! The menu was good size with a lot of sushi and sashimi! But we ordered a lot of our food from the seasonal menu on the board recommended by the lovely waitress- who was very attentively! -醬油鵝肝 Marinated Fois Gras
The dish was well marinated with a tangy sauce and melts in the mouth!
-吞拿魚薄脆 Tuna Paste Crisps
The crisps were made from benito and it was so delicious we ordered a crisp on its own (with mayo)! The tuna was very well seasoned with a jello sauce on top!

Fresh fish wrapped with crunchy sweet onion with delicious tangy sauce
-燒白鱔串White eel skewer
Thick and juicy eel with a tint of salt to enhance the flavour of the eel!
-燒牛舌心粒Ox tongue beef cubes
Tasty and tender ox tongue, the cut was right in the middle of the tongue which had great texture!
-雞皮包海老 Shrimp wrapped in chicken skin
My favourite dish! The prawn was fresh with a great crunch, the oil from the chicken skin penetrates and compliments the prawn!
-燒雞腿肉Chicken thigh
-免治雞肉棒Chicken minced skewer Tsukune
Both very juicy and tender!
-雞泡魚乾 puffer fish
This thinly sliced puffer fish comes with mayo, a must have in any Japanese restaurant!!!
They also serve a wide range sake, and nice glasses to choose from!
Totally bill came down to $800 with a satisfied full stomach! Highly recommend and will definitely come back!
