Yakiniku Kakura is a Japanese barbecue restaurant chain originated in Saga serving up rare meat cuts from Kyushu. The drinks menu features a range of alcohol from draft beer, sour to sake and wine. Ordered the signature 黒毛和牛大判焼き Wagyu Sirloin, a thin slice of A5 Wagyu from Kagoshima served with onsen egg. Very smooth mouthfeel while enjoying together with the egg yolk. The meat was super tender that melted in my mouth.

ホルモン Beef Offal was also a must-eat! Very rich and buttery fats. So satisfying. The tare wasn't too strong either which didn't overwhelm the meat taste.

Lunch sets come with salad, tsumami, rice, miso soup and dessert. Picked the KAKURA Set which included premium skirt steak, pork belly and chicken thigh. The salad was impressive as the fresh veggies were dressed with an appetizing citrus sauce instead of the common sesame sauce. Good variety of meat with different textures and flavors. Dessert of the day - almond tofu and mochi with vanilla ice cream, both not too sweet which met my preference.

I must say they offer some of the best yakiniku deals in town and most importantly, the meat was served chilled and finely seasoned.
