It was actually a foreign friend of mine who introduced me to this delicious Biang noodlerestaurant in a quieter part of Jordan. Since then, this complicated character is equivalent to delicious Shaanxi food. I was absolutely thrilled to see a branch of Yau Yuen Siu Tsui in Central. The biang biang noodles were as good as I recall. Seasoned with garlic and spiced powder, you have to mix well so that the seasonings could be evenly distributed on the noodles. This mixing part was actually quite fun. My only complain was that the lump of dried seaweed (on the bottom right) was a bit ugh…
As for the donkey meat, it didn’t have a very special taste, and it tasted more like cold sausage meat (in a good way). The portion was fair, just able to stop me from feeling hungry. Would love to have some snacks to share if I visit it again with a friend.
