Feel like something different tonight and went to the infamous sugar street where you can get lots of Indonesian food, and decided to try this place.

Place is small with no more than 20 seats available. we were lucky to get a 4 seaters table so it was not too bad.

Hard to believe that there's so much to choose from in a small shop like this. Took us a bit of time and decided to try the pandan rice with roast chicken, the ChewKweTiau (fried flat rice noodles), stir fried water spinach with garlic and chicken & beef satay. We also got the hot ginger honey lemon and the lemongrass coke to pair with the dishes.

The pandan rice with roast chicken was really generous in portion with half roast chicken. It came with a soy sauce like sauce with some chilies in it and it matched well with the rice and chicken. The pandan rice itself was filled with pandan flavour. The fried flat rice noodles was a bit different to the Malaysian style but it was quite big in portion too and was tasty. You can taste a bit of spiciness in it but not too much so manageable.

The stir fried garlic water spinach was nicely done with no surprises there and and chicken and beef satay was really delicious. Again it was not the same as the satay you find in Malaysian restaurant but was good to taste it in a different flavour with a different type of dipping sauce. Nicely done!

The drinks were good as expected and the lemongrass coke was unexpectedly good! You wouldn't think they would match so nicely and would definitely try that again.

Overall a pleasant surprise to find this place in causeway bay and just once again shows that you just have to try different places to find some good food around Hong Kong
