This antipasti spread was impressive and a true celebration of Italian delicacies, comprising:-
-a tantalizing array of cured meats: parma ham, coppa (pork shoulder), speck (cold-smoked pork hind leg), salami, lardo (delicacy made from pork fatback), mortadella (cured pork with least 15% pork fat cubes and chopped pistachios), ox tongue.
-Mesmerizing variety of Italian salads, grilled vegetables etc brimming with vibrant colors. Particularly noteworthy was the Pumpkin.
-Artisan cheeses
Bread basket was comparatively disappointing; the breadsticks unfortunately were too hard.
We would have been content just stuffing ourselves with the antipasti, but the set did come with main courses.
Pan-roasted John Dory served with parsnip puree, Kale and broccoletti in a creamy white wine sauce.
Pan-Roasted Australian Lamb Rack, coated with green bread crumbs. Meat was tender and juicy, creating a delightful contrast with the crunchy and herbaceous exterior. Accompanied by roasted carrots, artichokes and creamy garlic potato puree. The drizzle of Porto sauce (reduction made with fortified Portuguese wine) added a depth of flavor and a subtle sweetness to the dish.
Dessert: fruit salad, tiramisu, rice pudding etc. particularly loved the Lemon pie.
Latte was good too but not included in the set.
In summary: Superb weekday set lunch; antipasti table surpassed my expectations. Impeccable service and spacious tables.
