We topped up each set by two dollars to get a drink. The seemed to be the most appealing and both of us ordered this. We asked for fewer ice cubes but they ended up to be quite overflown by ice cubes. The drinks arrived first. They tasted quite plain - should be free of sugar. There were quite some rice at the bottom but hard to finish as they were blocked by the ice cubes.

The lunch sets arrived very swiftly.

隨心海南雞飯(無骨) didnt look particularly appealing. A small cup of soup came along with the rice - which was so strong in pepper and not particularly pleasant. Why not the typical winter melon soup? There were a mix of chicken breasts and legs. The skin was so thick and I got rid of them. The chicken meat was ok, even the breasts were not too rough. They tasted ok with the mashed ginger and soy sauce. The rice tasted a little bit too oily but was ok too. There were some pickles along with rice which had nothing special.

海鮮喇沙 came next. First of all, of course had to try a sip of the soup. It smelt and tasted so rich of coconut milk and was of the right degree of spicyness. Yummy. The noodles were transparent and were ok with enhanced texture from crispy bean sprouts. The portion of seafood was reasonable, with two fresh shrimps, one big scallop, three slices of fish balls, two big 豆卜, two crab sticks and half an egg. The quality of the seafood was ok in general. Overall, I would say this was better than the chicken rice.

We asked for a whole pot of 肉骨茶 and chose Malaysian over Singaporean which seemed to be mostly pepper. It was served in a whole clay pot. The portion should be enough for at least 4 full rice bowls of soup. There were 3 pieces of pork bones, 3 big Chinese mushrooms and 3 red dates. I couldn't find codonopsis from the soup, although could see some little fragrant landpick and angelica. I could see some whole black peppers at the bottom of the soup.
There were some bread crusts like toppings served on the side which were ok but not particularly pleasing. We didn't try the additional sauce served on the side.

I loved the rich herbal flavour of the soup which was actually slightly spicy. The pork bones were too rough - seemingly added to the soup after the soup was done. The Chinese mushrooms and other ingredients were ok.
The server helped pour the soup into 2 smaller bowls for us.

Last but not least was the 亞參鳳梨咕嚕肉. The portion was so big and it was well presented! There were many pieces of pork and countless pineapples and onions. The first bite of pork I tried was marvelous with crispy crust and juicy and well-flavoured interior. The sauce was delicious too. Quite a good dish despite that some pork were too fatty. I think it was the best dish among all.

Overall quality of the food was pretty good especially those a la carte dishes although the chicken rice was a bit disappointing. Prices were not cheap but acceptable. Service was ok but they weren't really prompt in collecting finished plates. Environment was ok with nothing special.
