My boyfriend and I felt like Japanese tonight and so we wonder around the Wanchai area, I wasn't haven't much hope in finding something a restaurant that's good and yet reasonably priced. To our surprised we found this cozy Japanese restaurant in the quiet Amoy Street in Wanchai. The thing that caught my attention was that it has an outdoor area and it just looked so cozy, so we looked at the menu outside the door and a set for two was HKD165 (or something like that, can't remember the exact f
My boyfriend had the 滑蛋豬扒飯 (HKD50), it came with mezo soup, so that was nice, nice big portion and the egg was still a little bit runny, so yummy. So nice that we forgot to take picture until it was half way eaten...
I had the 牛肉稻庭udon (HKD55), very tasty, soup base was good, wasn't oily at all and tasted healthy.
For desert, we had 柚子雪糕 (HKD20), for 1 scope of ice-cream it's a little expensive but it was very yummy and re-freshing, definitely better than the normal Japanese green tea ice-cream. Perfect for hot summer day... even though it's not yet summer.
The food was good and it wasn't expensive at all, and most important of all is that the food wasn't oily and it didn't feel like they've added MSG in the food. You can tell the chef has high standard for his food. The waiter and waitress are very nice too and they always come and feel you cup with green tea when they see your cup is not full, so very good service.
What made me like this place is that the restaurant is very cozy, and it's in a quiet area of Wanchai, and the food is quite up to standard, so what can you ask for more .
