As recommended by our friend who is a pasta lover, we paid a visit to Pici, a well-known pasta bar in the territory. One reasons for its popularity is that Pici only serves freshly hand roll pasta which is made daily. The atmosphere there was really relaxing and comfortable. We ordered Vitello Tonnato as the starter. It was sliced veal covered with tuna mayonnaise. To be frank, it did not look attractive; but it tasted yummy. You can taste the freshness of both the meat and fish. Surprisingly, it went very well with the complimentary bread. The tuna mayonnaise was really one of the best mayo I have ever eaten.

One of the pastas we ordered was Pappardelle. This is a meat pasta with beef cheek which were slow cooked for eight hours. The meat was very tender. The flat pappardelle was well-cooked and we could taste the richness of flour and eggs. Together with the tomato ragu sauce, this Papparadelle was scrumptious.

We also tried Tagliolini. Once it was served, we were totally amazed by the generous portion of freshly shaved black truffle! Sadly, the aroma was a bit soft, not as strong as we expected from the great portion of truffle. Yet, with this price, I think it was acceptable. The tagliolini was al dente, a texture which we enjoyed eating. Another thing we appreciated was that the white truffle sauce was not too rich, so you could still smell of the flour and egg from the pasta even though every tagliotini was wrapped with the sauce.
In short, we both enjoyed our dinner in Pici as the pasta was all fresh and al dente. With its reasonable price, we will definitely visit it again.
