So in the end we opted for a large bowl of seafood soup rice with tomato soup base. I was slightly hesitant that they would use ketchup for the soup base but after confirming with the waitress, it would be fresh tomatoes, I decided to go ahead with the order. Thinking that it would be a nice light lunch after what we had on Christmas Day.
The soup came and looked quite tasty but it turned out to be utter disappointment. It just tasted like diluted sweet and sour water with a few small bits of scallops, prawns and shitake mushrooms. Sure there were bits of chopped up tomato in it but overall it tasted like something cooked by a 茶餐廳 cha cha teng chef. I decided not to order anything else after this experience.
