It was spacious and clean. Not too many diners as well. But this area is always a bit more quiet.

Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. They had variety of laksa along with different combinations of Hainan chicken rice.

I got myself a Milo with Coco Ball ($22) because I love Milo Dinosaur. But this was even better. Just as chocolatey but with crunchy coco balls that oddly never get soggy.

We shared an appetizer of Single Boned Chicken Wings with Salted Egg Yolk ($38). These were delicious. A bit oily but very crispy. Lots of salted egg yolk was tossed in for added flavour.

This place had a lot of different combinations of Hainan chicken rice. And interestingly enough they didin't offer the usual chicken soup but rather a seaweed soup with fish balls.  After some thought, I decided on the  Hainanese Chicken with Rice in Chicken Oil and Laksa ($80) because I can't think of any place that offers the best of both worlds in one.

The chicken was a generous portion. Boneless, the meat was tender and moist. The skin not too fat and full of flavour.

The chicken rice was very fragrant. It didn't feel too oily.

The laksa was a mini portion. But small as it was, they still had half an egg, one shrimp, one tofu puff and one slice of fish cake. The laksa soup was very rich and a not overly spicy until it suddenly kicks in later on. The noodles were chewy and soaked up the soup quickly.

Boyfriend had the Rendang Beef with Coconut Rice ($62). A crunchy prawn cracker was added. The rice  had a strong coconut taste and was light and fluffy. The beef rendang was so tender, it fell apart easily without a need to chew. It was also very spicy.

A nice place for Singaporean that is not too far from where I live. Will definitely be back and check out if they have any afternoon tea deals.
