I decided to wait until June to try this restaurant because the queue was insane when it first opened. Within a week, I actually visited twice, which goes to show how much I absolutely love it. The interior decoration of the restaurant is quite retro, but it's quite cramped and the tables are very close to each other. Often times, you have to wait about 5-10 minutes for a table, and it can get quite hot in the summer, so I recommend coming earlier if you don't want to wait.The menu isn't too ext
The menu isn't too extensive, and sometimes the sets run out if you arrive in the late afternoon. However, if you want to get certain desserts, you need to go after 4pm. I ended up ordering the 'Deluxe Set', for $53 + $3 for Iced Drinks. Although it's a little pricey for a local lunch set, I do think that considering its location on High Street, it's fairly reasonable. The set consists of a Macaroni in Tomato Ox-Tail Soup, Black Truffle Scrambled Eggs and Buttered Bread, and a drink.

The macaroni is absolutely delicious. The soup is very flavourful, though the plate is a bit small, so there's not a lot of soup. The ox-tail is very generous too, and infused with tomato flavour. The scrambled eggs were fragrant with black truffle mixed into it and the bread was better than your average 'cha charn teng' bread.
The only downside I felt was the iced milo that I ordered, which unfortunately didn't taste much like milo at all. They didn't add enough milo powder and it ended up tasting a little like diluted milk.
All in all, I really enjoyed it and I think I'd go after 4pm next time so I can try their milk pudding!
