It's my first time visit there with my friends whos come from oversea. We go to sky 100 first for sightseeing, then change to specially lift 101/F.Lovely lunch memory with a good habour view. The food is very fresh and yummy. It costed only $380Grill steak: sause taste good Miso soup: hot enough and oishiiSteam egg: very smoothOverall, they are fresh and waiter always refill tea for us.

前晚老婆生日所以去左ICC101樓試下傳說中好正既田舍家-爐端燒。結果果然無失望,環境好好,裝修聽講同日本總店一樣,好似飛左去日本咁,服務幾好,特別系一班爐端燒嘅師傅,換班儀式好正式,睇得出他們的專業與用心;不過最緊要當然系食物既質素啦:應承老婆遲D會再黎食,好期待

My boyfriend and I had lunch at Inakaya last week (hehe we both love Japanese food!!!) The food came and it was amazing! The sashimi set was so juicy and fresh - My boyfriend loves it! I ordered the sushi set lunch - it was great!
The sushi set lunch was only $320 - With this decent price and food quality at ICC, we will definitely come back to Inakaya for lunch or dinner.

After the dinner, a waitor (I think he was the shop manager) gave us a tour at the restaurant! I have to say - the view from the Teppanyaki table was amazing! The clear blue sky and the white clouds.....This is also my first time finding myself standing higher than the peak!

爸媽難得從上海來探望我,在帶他們去Elements逛街後,想陪他們去看看香港最高處的美景,便馬上訂了ICC 101樓的Inakaya。一進去餐廳內,第一個感覺是裝修非常時尚,爐端燒桌卻很有日本的風味。桌上放滿了很多新鮮的材料,還沒燒,看上去就已經很吸引人了!雖然這裡價錢算不便宜,但我覺得所享受的除了美食外,更是一種很難得的體驗。自己選食物,爐端燒師傅用木漿把食物遞給我們,還有壓年糕表演,這樣的體驗完全值回票價!

This is my first time visit at ICC L101 since I started working here. I am fortunate enough to squeeze into Inakaya for a relaxing dinner. I am so so impressed by the food and the service standard after all. I’d only say it’s hard to find any other restaurants in Hong Kong even in Japan with such a high quality. Surely I will be a frequent visitor of Inakaya!

Broil Whelk - Not sure what it is but I do have a try as recommended by the waiter. Unbelievably fresh!
Crispy Sardine - a special crisp for me as it is a freshly made sardine!
This Duck Hot Pot serves with a burner at the bottom. The duck are kept hot all the way and I am particular impressed by the ‘meaty’ taste of the duck and the strong taste of the soup. Worth a try!
Minced chicken and Onion cake - At the first glance I think it’s kinda normal, but I really can’t believe the magic of the combination of chicken and onion. The cook can make it just-done which makes the juicy chicken. Perfect!
Japanese fruit and Yuzu sorbet - Perfect ending with this home-made sorbet! Smooth texture, Awesome!

上個禮拜五與八個友人去到新開的炉端燒。訂了傳統Robata Section, 由於人數有加、所以被安排坐餐廳 Section. 到點菜時餐牌上沒有炉端燒食物、便問侍應、他說餐廳部份沒有炉端燒食物供應、因為傳統炉端燒部份之食物只可供給該部份的食客、事關廚師不能manage整個餐廳的order。我們一臉無奈便向餐廳suprevisit反映。Supervisor不知所謂的解釋...他們有另一個廚房可提供類似食物~例如串燒。他遞上三角形立體的餐牌,上面寫著Bar Snacks...WTF?! 我們不是去RedMR 。之後唯有找餐廳經理理論一番、最後他們只可提供部分的炉端焼食物!餐牌食物與其價錢成反比。Over-price 到不得之了、portion亦細得可憐。嘢食質素同味道普通、好味過佢嘅餐廳多的是!當中叫了一碟燒魚、硬得想石頭。同Supervisor講,他說時這樣的!。服務更不知所謂!!一坐低叫咗枝1.8L清酒後、侍應不時添酒。之後想要杯茶、中間催過兩、三次,到埋單再催先至嚟。最後甜品奉上、友人的sorbert內裡藏有毛髮 。之後再向餐廳經理反映、他說可以幫我們換、拜託!誰還敢食?他說下次

比成萬幾蚊一餐咁嘅飯、簡直離譜!仲要好似冇食過嘢,離開後再去了打邊爐。[暈倒]

Going to possibly the highest Japanese restuarant in Hong Kong will certainly set some pretty high expectations.

No doubt, the view is amazing as we were blessed by a clear night sky but as my friend told me the time he went, due to bad weather the whole view was covered my fog so that means one of the biggest selling points of the place is gone.

Upon seating down, we were given a drinks menu and the waiter asked what we would like to drink, we said Sake but needed time to look, so we told him we check out the menu first. He said okay and to my supries he just stood there staring at us waiting for us to order. I felt my first uneasy moment and asked he we can get some green tea first.

Looking at the menu, I dont see many item that is considered "must try" or "rare specialty" as most items are common item served at other average Japanese Restuarants. The only difference: the price is at least 2-3 times more than average.

We ordered:

3 dish appetizer set
Tempura platter
miso paste grilled black cod
Deluxe Sushi platter

3 dish appetizer set:
As recommended by our server "Thanu" it comprises of 3 "Very Small Portion" dishes. She made sure she repeated "very small portion" while introducing each dish.

Dish 1: spicy tuna with cucumber on the side. Tasted pretty nice with well-balanced mix of spice powder and seasame oil. Size wise, it like 4X 1 inch long tuna pieces.

Dish 2: Uni. portion wise think a coke bottle cap filled with extra salty Uni. Not impressed.

Dish 3: Japanese Tofu bricks with what seems like marinated fish intestines. It came in 2 bricks each brick the size of a standard sugar cube you drink coffee with.

Price: HK$2xx

Tempura platter:
Nothing special, just like any other tempura you eat at other restaurants.

Content: 3 x Prawns, 1 piece of fish, 2 x fried eel slices, 1X egg plant slice, 1 x pumpkin slice and 1 x sweet potatoe slice.
One thing I like to mention is when i was mixing my tempura sauce with the radish, before I even finished mixing...the staff already took the rest of the radish and salt away.

Price: HK$2xx

Grilled Black Cod:
By far very disappointing as we are lovers of miso grilled black Cod yet it has failed in so many aspects. Size is too small, marinade is too heavy and very overpriced.

Price: HK$2xx

Deluxe Sushi platter:

Decent sized sushi but used too much wasabi in each sushi and also gave you another dish incase you didn't have enough already.

Price: HK$5xx

Till now, the food has yet to impress us. The worst part of the whole experience is:

Over staffed: Staffs can be seen, standing around chit chatting. Another problem with over staffing is our table was visited by 2-3 different staff each minute filling up our tea and sake even though we didn't touch it. I find it most annoying is the over done service combined with bad timing. There are a few times when I was getting a piece of sushi and the waiter had to go over my working hand to pour us Sake. Seriously that was too much. Adding to that, the tea lady refills our cup every 30 seconds and shes working like a robot to a point she interrupted us to refill tea only to find out her pot was empty.

With the reviews I saw, it was nothing like that and to give them the benefit of the doubt, I will give them another chance a few month later. Maybe I will try the bar next time, seems like the snacks there are much more inviting, not as crazy priced and to also avoid inexperience staffs annoying me. Unless they refill my cocktail FOC every 30seconds

Indeeed, it's a masterpiece of Hong Kong, although "great view" is basically guaranteed impossible in HK with serious pollution and foggy days all year round. Dining at such high level will definitely give me the feeling of being "top of the world", proud of what HK has is always world ranked....Picked this restaurant because I saw a press release in a local magazine, as it's located in such a premier place

Picked this restaurant because I saw a press release in a local magazine, as it's located in such a premier place, I had the sense that the queue is long....

My Japanese friend from Tokyo loves food as well, decided to go with him, and in a way, I can learn more about Japanese culture. Robatayaki is nothing new in HK and you can find other restaurants serving this as well. However, they do it in a real traditional way.

Booked a table 2 weeks in advance, good enough to get a table for 2. We chose the 2nd session from 8:30pm after the first starting at 6:30pm, because we can stay till closing without rishing to release the table. When I arrived, they were getting the table ready and greeted me to a bar area, the first impression is the interior, not Japanese but definitely mordern fine dining layout. I was wondering....until the waitress showed me the way to the Robatayaki room...I was shocked by the sense that it looks totally another world. It's like going back to older generation in Japan, Chef and waiters were wearing traditional outfit, Japanese speaking, and they invited customers to involve in the preparation of ingredients, kind of experienced dining style.


My Japanese friend told me he has never tried such traditional way of robatayaki as well in Japan. He appreciates a lot to have this in HK.


After seated, the most funny thing to see is the food arranging in front, no menu and we can just pick whatever we like, in our pace. For sure, it sounds a bit dangerous as you don't know the price.

We tried some vegetables first, musroom followed by Kinki, pork, Wagyu beef, some other hot dishes as well. For robatayaki, without putting a lot additional stuff to change the taste, everything taste as original. Some people used to eat a lot msg or salty food might find it a bit too simple, but as long as the food are in fresh and good quality, it's fine.

To order others like sashimi, still can but not all from other session as they have teppanyaki, sashimi bar out there as well.

The entertaining atmosphere is the major thing to enjoy here, the 3 chefs there were very entertaining and interact with us, drank with us and play some traditional singing...it's lots of fun.

We had a bottle of white wine before seating and 2 bottles of their house sake, recommended by the manager, and it's good.

We had the manager and 2 other waitress and waiter to serve us, explained things in Japanese and Cantonese and service is pleasant.


Will come back to try other session next time.

One of the problem I identified there has been proven by another friend went there at another time. For such luxury restaurant, they might have kind of "selected" customers, to serve people whom are VIP in their list. That means, service can be excellent to some people, and terrible to the others; in short, not consistent. This should be improved as after some time, they cannot just rely on "royal" customers and pissed off the others, as the space there is not small, pleasing general public is also very important.
