當早前路過The One發現「目利きの銀次」會在尖沙嘴開分店時,已經好期待。因為之前在銅鑼灣世貿店食過多次,每次都留下良好印象。現在九龍都有分店,不用每次都去銅鑼灣(或自己絕少去的屯門)實在方便得多~這夜一行3人就來到尖沙嘴食食沖繩菜。餐廳舖面不及銅鑼灣店大,裝修一貫「目利きの銀次」的風格,琉球燈泡與燈籠,日本風濃郁,亦坐得舒適。新張期間每位客人可免費獲一罐來自沖繩的Orion啤酒。啤酒淡香順滑,易入口,而且雪得夠冰凍。海膽汁燒蠔($98)是每次來「目利きの銀次」必食的招牌菜。濃甜海膽汁與一客4隻肥美燒蠔用熱辣辣鐵板上,正!沖繩炒涼瓜($92),清新,涼瓜甘香不會苦。半燒三文魚配酸汁($70),三文魚片我就沒有吃,沙律爽口清新。鹽燒自家製免治雞肉串($25/串),雞肉串表面燒得焦香,但肉串仍juicy。雞肉串由免治雞肉,雞軟骨和蔥等做成,咬落質感豐富,還有淡淡我喜歡的紫蘇香黑豚軟骨山葵燒($64),軟骨部分煙韌,肉香濃郁,軟腍入味。山葵的清新,平衡一下甜甜醬汁,很夾。三文魚三文魚子燒飯糰($84),飯糰燒得外焦脆而內香軟,加上卜卜脆三文魚子和三文魚肉碎,不錯的吃呢。超濃厚雞湯烏冬($1

超濃厚雞湯烏冬($138),本來以為是一碗烏冬,沒想到份量頗多,是以煲仔上,還有大隻雞脾。奶白色的湯頭味濃又自然,稻庭烏冬質感軟滑彈牙,好吃。

Came across this restaurant at The ONE called “Mekiki no Ginji” 目利きの銀次” - Me and my girlfriends were attracted by the very nice shop front design and the receptionist ---- A Japanese young man kept on yelling “FREE BEER FREE BEER FROM OKINAWA” (Well, think he must be the boss who works so hard trying to get attention) Free beer plus we are not sure where to eat…why not give it a try? When we first walked into the entrance, the first thing I notice was the very strong “fishy” smell from the seafood counter. I have to say, sorry I am not happy with that……
~ It’s the main entrance of the shop, how could it be so fishy?! Anyway, we were offered to sit in the “bucket seats” which is quite comfy and suitable for the three of us~ Let’s take a look at the menu and see what they offer~ Initially, I thought the restaurant was about only OKINAWA food but it turns out it’s more like a izakaya restaurant with grilled and seafood dishes…which is not bad~ After reviewing the menu, here’s what we going to try1) assorted skewers 2) Tamago roll with cod roe 3) sashimi platter (well, the server said that the fish and seafood were delivered from Okinawa everyday fresh…sounds interesting) and 4) the duck udon with yuzi sauceThe sashimi platter was the first thing to came – We had uni, 赤陸魚, scallops and Akagai…….I have to say that the赤陸魚 was very fresh with delicate texture and the scallops was in jumbo size (HKD390..pretty good deal) One thing I don’t like about is their wasabi! They should have offered us the fresh wasabi instead of using the wasabi made from powder. The skewers was grilled with nice charcoal favors only my friend thinks that the chicken wing was too salty. I really like the bacon wrapped with tomatoe as it just balance the favour very well~One of the dishes that I like the most was the tamago with cod roe – The egg was nicely baked and the spices from the cod roe was favourful (Honestly, it tastes much better than it looks~~ Last but not least, the duck udon was served as the last dish and I really like the yuzi sauce. For the duck, I rather find it a bit chewy but the soft boiled egg was certainly another high light for the dish~ We were also a free beer from the Japanese server, it was an Orion beer from Okinawa…Well, I have to say I do prefer local beer more as the taste was rather too light for me.
Overall (sorry except for the fishy smell), I think Mekiki no ginji is a restaurant that I would recommend to my friends or for family gathering (given the price is very reasonable) The staffs were friendly (except one of the young boy don’t really know how to pronounce the shop name when we asked him) but he was well enough to tell me they actually have 2 more branches in V city and in WTC cwb and 15 branches in Okinawa Japan. After vising Mekiki no ginji, it reminds me that I should plan my next trip to Okinawa..hehe
