I have actually passed through this little joint many times during lunch but never had the chance of trying it as it was always packed between 12:30pm and 2pm. Today I had the chance. As I was passing through this restaurant slightly after 2pm, the doors were wide open and only 2 tables were occupied. The decor is as described in other reviews - nice, friendly and inviting. The lunch menu consists of a variety of dishes which should satisfy most taste buds and the price also includes a drink

As I was passing through this restaurant slightly after 2pm, the doors were wide open and only 2 tables were occupied. The decor is as described in other reviews - nice, friendly and inviting. The lunch menu consists of a variety of dishes which should satisfy most taste buds and the price also includes a drink from a list which is quite long, to be honest. With a few dollars more, one can choose even from a longer list.

I had difficulty in deciding to go for something familiar or try out something different. When I went for a Thai-style barbequed pork with rice 秘製泰式义燒飯, I didn't really know what I was in for. There were some veggies (lettuce, cucumber slices and chinese parsley 芫茜) to the side of the dish with a few slices of reddish meat on a portion of rice covered by an orange-coloured sauce. Adding insult to the whole thing was the fact that the meat was cold, the sauce was fresh (out of a bottle) and the rice was stale. Taste? I really could not tell what it was supposed to be apart from it being something akin to pork. The sauce? I must have one of those bottles at home somewhere! Seriously ......

I really don't understand how such quality can survive in Wanchai these days. May be I made the wrong choice, may be it was that time of the day .... whatever the excuse, I wasn't impressed.

工人尋晚冇煮我飯,所以今日出街食晏。後來經過船街嗰間Cafe y Taberna就入去試下。餐廳大概有不足二十個位,但12:15左右除咗一張被訂嘅枱外,其他枱全部滿座。午餐以set lunch為主,今日有海南雞飯、冬蔭功、泰式叉燒飯、青咖喱雞、豬手㷛同埋鮮蝦炒金邊粉。套餐包一杯泰式飲品或㗎啡、茶。價錢由$48至$58不等。我叫咗鮮蝦炒金邊粉同埋香茅特飲。等咗唔到十分鐘就上菜。份量唔算大,都有五、六隻中蝦,咬落好爽口。金邊粉亦炒得乾爽,唔會一pat pat;另外啲粉吸咗個醬汁,都幾好味。響香港唔係每間泰國餐廳都有香茅特飲。呢間都OK,但如果可以再濃啲同埋少甜就更好。因為唔係咩大餐廳,所以唔會expect有啲咩酒店級服務。但我比較欣賞呢間餐廳係就算佢係一間小餐廳,都唔會為咗做多輪生意就催你埋單。一般食客亦好識做,食完就走。今日餐飯盛惠$54。返到公司同同事提起呢餐飯,佢話海南雞飯同埋㗎啡(另加$6)係佢嘅至愛。如果有機會我會再幫襯,試下佢嘅海南雞飯。

周末去湾仔的gym健身,在openrice上研究了一下,选了这家卖泰国菜的cafe.店子坐落在厦门街的中段,有点偏,而且招牌不太明显,容易漏过。店不大,敞开的门面,一共大概20个座位,布置得到蛮特别的,顶上吊了很多喇叭不知道什么意思。 店员都是年轻人(香港人),230到的本来以为正好赶上下午茶,结果下午茶套餐3点-5点供应,点了午餐套餐(其实两个套餐很多选择完全一样,只是价格不同,午餐55,下午茶38, 不过可能量也会有差异吧)点了冬阴功海鲜米线配龙眼特饮龙眼特饮: 很多龙眼,而且很甜(不过似乎是龙眼本身的甜味)。冬阴功海鲜米线等了大概15分钟才上,不过说明新鲜现场煮的。 很大碗,面上铺满了海鲜和几片新鲜的生菜叶, 先尝了一口汤,是酸甜口味的还有淡淡的奶油味, 很鲜很香,绝对是我喜欢的东阴功(一直不太爱那种很辣的版本)。数了数有4只大虾仁,2大块鱿鱼,还有大概8只岘,全部都很新鲜。 米线很多有点吃不完(可能我一直不太爱米线)2点多店里的客人还很多,都是以年轻人为主。 服务一般。 不设加一。

During the early hours of lunch, it was already filled with people and queues outside, yet I saw the waitress bringing food from the restaurant across the road.
I initially thought there was another building nearby where people could go out to eat, however it turns out the waitress in the silver waistcoat was bringing food to the sit out area across the street.

It must be relaxing to eat there, but spoilt by the construction works right next to it driving piles down the earth.
Hopefully the construction machinery stay put, as there have been machinery falling over incidents in WC.

I chose to eat inside, the seats were very cosy, not enough space for people to bring their bags and things.

Inside it was very similar to the Tai Hang branch, except the room was small and cramped, limited space to get around.

From the list of lunches, there were 20 choices!~!

1)Hainan chicken with rice
2)Pork leg stewed in a pot with rice
3)Shrimp paste fried rice
4)Green chicken curry and fried rice
5)Massamume beef curry
6)Thai chicken steak with rice
7)Minced pork with basil and rice
8)Beef and Vegetables with bean thread noodles
9)Minced pork and eggplant
10)Fried Cambodian noodles with sweet and sour sauce.
11)Fried flat noodles with chicken in soy sauce
12)Fried flat noodles with pork in gravy
13)Fried flat noodles with grounded pork, basil and white wine
14)Noodles with seafood in tom yum kung soup
15)Noodles with grounded pork in clear broth
16)Noodles with chicken in clear broth
17)Thai grilled pork with rice
18)Grilled chicken in satay sauce with noodles in sauce

In the end I chose Tom Yum Kung noodles, because in the previous review, it was said to be bland.
If you look at in a positive way, people who do not like lemongrass or it being too spicy, it is just right here.
The soup was slightly sour, not too spicy, and I could taste Satay sauce in it too with bits of peanuts.
The noodles had been in the soup for too long, so were bit too soft.

The other noodle that was ordered tasted nice too, it was egg noodles with chicken in satay sauce, it had rich satay sauce with lots of crushed peanuts.

For drinks had the longan iced water, which was quite healthy since a lot of drinks in hK are too sweet, but this one was just right.

The dessert that day was coconut pudding, not the orange agar jelly I was expecting.

For takeaways you do not get dessert, but you are paying the same price as dine in!!!

While I sat there, I saw someone who ordered takeaway asked where the dessert was and the waitress snapped and said “EAT IN – HAVE, TAKE OUT, DON HAVE”

But anyway expect a very busy crowd there during lunchtimes!!

是日忽然想食泰菜的「柚子沙律」, 用 Openrice 的「食評搜尋」搵到呢度有供應, 就捉了朋友陪我過嚟睇睇. 2 人叫了一份 set lunch (跟一杯飲品及甜品), 另散叫半打沙爹串燒及一份柚子沙律 share 食; 再加多一杯飲品:-

大家的飲品都叫了龍眼冰: 夠冰凍, 亦清甜解渴, 悸悶的天氣下飲一杯實在不錯.


Set lunch 的主食係蝦醬炒飯: 又係炒飯, 炒蛋, 青木瓜條, 泰式臘腸及肉鬆分開上... 飯落了青豆, 豆角, 辣椒 etc 同炒, 炒得乾身, 蝦醬味香, 比上次喺大坑某店的同類出品 (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2122668) 好食得多; 炒蛋炒得幾鬆, 食落夠滑, 拌飯同吃很不錯; 青木瓜條幾爽脆, 亦比預期中甜及唔辣; 臘腸及肉鬆就太甜了, 唔啱口味.

半打沙爹串燒要了, 各 2, 三者都醃得入味, 香茅味幾香,「嫩腍度」就係豬 > 雞 > 牛, 整體都幾好食, 不過雞肉就絕對如朋友所言,「泰妃雞的好食得多」; 沙爹汁就以椰味為主, 食落唔辣, 同以前喺九龍城泰國店的沙爹汁 (e.g. ) 味道差不多. 我覺得「齋」食比蘸汁更討好, 不過整體係幾好食的.

柚子蝦沙律: 「一楷楷」的碌柚無澀味, 亦夠甜夠多汁; d 蝦就原來炸過, 肉爽, 不過唔算香口, 相信唔炸會更啱口味; 其他配料仲有炸過的椰絲 (?), 洋蔥 etc, 配上少少辣又帶點魚露 feel 的酸汁, 幾開胃的, 最後輕易清碟.


Set lunch 的甜品係兩件青色的糕點, 食落帶點椰味, 質地爽爽的似足大菜糕, 唔知乜嚟0架呢?

環境係 cafe 格局, 乾淨又光猛, 不過坐喺一檯講嘢大大聲的「墟」旁, 被迫聽佢哋的投資謬論, 都咪話唔辛苦; 店員們幾友善又有禮貌, 招呼亦不錯.

每人埋單 $100 有找, 對呢度的印象一直只係「大坑店的 caffe latte 幾好飲」(「大坑店」即係邊度: http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2036700) , 估唔到灣仔呢間泰菜原來都不錯, 都值得試試的.

以前嚟過2次,可惜無帶相機............jan 31, 11, 2人嚟lunch,叫咗 : set lunch x 2 1) 餐飲 x 2-我同友人都叫咗熱洛神花茶 -今次無上次飲到咁熱-但酸酸甜甜-又唔洗額外+$$$$,不錯的選擇2) 主菜i) 冬蔭海鮮湯粉 (hk$38)-友人今次想試吓佢嘅冬蔭湯系列-不過友人話湯底味道唔濃,相對平時食到的淡咗少少-而海鮮當然喺雪藏貨,不能有所期望ii) 蝦醬炒飯 -上次友人食呢個話ok,所以今次我就跟喇-賣相都精緻-先咬1口青木瓜條,只喺溫溫的醃過,很輕微的酸,質感小硬,但不實-飯沒有明顯嘅蝦醬味,但見到有櫻花蝦籽,蔥等,味道都豐富,而且仲有旁邊的肉鬆同臘腸片-美味3) 甜品 x 2-它的甜品都頗有新意,3次嚟都唔同-今次喺橙味大菜糕-橙味自然,唔假-質感又唔會好腍,微爽-都ok喎* 呢度好細,呈長條形,枱與枱之間好密,身形健碩1點都會坐得不舒服......... * 以灣仔區嚟講.........呢度算抵食.........又有餐飲,又有甜品..........味道都交到功課.............都喺<$40/餐.....

是日响海水公園暢遊左一整日,天已漆黑,肚子不餓,但有點倦意,想揾d 輕鬆地方 hea 下。由金鐘步行到灣仔,毫無準備、漫無目的下走過大街、小巷,並無揾到合適既地方。最終走到廈門街,一條平日並不起眼既小橫街,裡面竟有一間港式小酒吧、一家西餐廳、一間散發濃濃機油氣味既機械舖、還有引起我注意既穌棧。望著穌棧門口新束既裝潢,心裡竟有點豫疑,再查看豎立既餐牌,檢視過頗為豐富既食物種類及類別,於是鼓起無畏精神走出第一步。穌棧進餐位置狹長,由門口擺放大約6張餐枱直至後門位置。門口左邊係一個水吧,全店以白色及光亮為主,帶出簡約及新派既主流,與傳統泰式裝修、掛著泰皇及四面佛既景象截然不同。另外,有一道黑色牆壁,恰如學校課室黑板,黑牆上用彩色粉筆手繪上聖誕樹以及穌棧推介既咖啡及簡單午餐組合。店內只有一名泰國恃應小姐負責樓面工作,如其他响香港工作既泰國朋友,她能操流利廣東話,聽聽她温柔既推介,一定會令您更加了解有關菜式同揾到適合個人既口味。 椰青:什麼也不要,先要兩個椰青清熱同解解渴。用三個 "夠" 黎形容椰青絕對出色既水平一定無錯:夠 凍夠 甜夠 香原以為晌泰國先可以飲到咁好質素既椰青,而家香港都可以有喇

穌棧進餐位置狹長,由門口擺放大約6張餐枱直至後門位置。門口左邊係一個水吧,全店以白色及光亮為主,帶出簡約及新派既主流,與傳統泰式裝修、掛著泰皇及四面佛既景象截然不同。另外,有一道黑色牆壁,恰如學校課室黑板,黑牆上用彩色粉筆手繪上聖誕樹以及穌棧推介既咖啡及簡單午餐組合。
店內只有一名泰國恃應小姐負責樓面工作,如其他响香港工作既泰國朋友,她能操流利廣東話,聽聽她温柔既推介,一定會令您更加了解有關菜式同揾到適合個人既口味。
椰青:

什麼也不要,先要兩個椰青清熱同解解渴。用三個 "夠" 黎形容椰青絕對出色既水平一定無錯:

夠 香
原以為晌泰國先可以飲到咁好質素既椰青,而家香港都可以有喇!
芒果炸塘虱魚沙律:

餐牌有唔少非常吸引既沙律可供選擇,例如青木瓜沙律、柚子沙律等。而市面上少有供應既塘虱魚就被我地選中左。
芒果係用左青芒果切絲,加上花生、乾葱絲、葱、辣椒碎、香葉及自製泰色醬汁拌成,辣度中上,食味辛香帶酸甜,十足地道泰式風味,正!而主角炸塘虱魚,遠看似一團海綿球,入口鬆化,但就完全無魚肉質感,原來烹調時厨師先將魚肉琢碎後再炸。恃應小姐解釋佢地係用上100% 純魚肉,沒有任何添加,而外面大部份餐廳因為未掌握有關技巧,所以必會將魚肉混上其他炸粉或麵粉等同炸,至於穌棧厨師既炸功就係一個 Secret。自己雖然較喜歡有質感既魚肉,但對此獨特既煮功亦頗欣賞,喜歡食炸物既朋友,不坊嘗試下呢個 Secret。
炸蝦餅:

蝦餅外皮係佔上簿簿既麵包糠,首先與厚皮說聲 Bye Bye,加分!蝦肉彈牙兼蝦味濃郁,我選擇全程唔沾酸甜醬,齋欣賞其純蝦鮮味,足以滿足口慾。
帶子沙律:
餐廳每晚會提供 Today's Special,當晚有烏頭魚同帶子沙律。本應帶子沙律份量為一碟為6隻,但肚子此時已填得8成滿飽,又要預留空間予其他已點既菜,但為食既我偏偏又忍唔住眼前美食,唯有開聲要求侍應小姐幫忙做兩隻遷就一下。
每隻帶子用生菜包裹,加上大量薑絲、蒜蓉、乾葱碎、辣椒碎及香葉等拌上醬汁而成。一手執著生菜,慢慢將整個帶子吞噬。只有8成熟既帶子肉質鮮嫩,但略嚴薑絲加上辣椒碎令食味有點過度辛辣,失卻其他食味,有點可惜!
芽菜炒鹹豬肉:
餐牌上亦有不少吸引既菜款,但想要一點另類新嘗試。一睇到鹹豬肉即諗起 JJ's Market 對面 "柯多哥" 街市既炸鹹豬肉,香脆外皮加上勁辣野味醬汁,頓時胃液劇增。
整體食味順和,芽菜熟度炒得剛好,軟中帶爽,但鹹豬肉卻全部煮透了,沒半點保留脆口。若可保留一點香脆相信會應會更加滋味。
千層糕:

係是晚推介甜品之一,沒有想像得到既意外驚喜!千層糕質地軟滑又富彈性,面上佈上椰漿,口感豐富,加上微温,倍覺新鮮,雖然肚皮已漲得快要爆開,但不消5分鐘,全碟已被清除。

穌棧應可算係响香港小數經營新一代泰菜既餐廳。細緻既食味及做功均有別於舊一批泰國餐廳,加上注重挑選新鮮食材,與客人溝通及環境設計,收費則較集團式經營略平。期待下一次穌棧帶給我味蕾既新刺激,包括湯及主菜,還有咖啡等。
時代既變遷,慢慢演變出另一類既選擇,相信亦會帶動另一種泰式潮流,食客們有福了。
