I assumed Thai food was only things like chicken rice, meat and rice, pad thai's stir fried flat noodles etc, but I was surprised to see they had pork knuckle rice, it is very similar to the chinese lo shui sauce.The pork knuckles even had tofu puffs in it!!The pork knuckles was stewed nicely, an option for those who cant eat food that is too spicy and not thai food fans.All their lunches come with a drink for $30.

生蝦刺身:生蝦原隻去了除蝦尾部份的蝦殼,簡簡單單配以芫茜、辣椒絲及生蒜片上碟,口味非常正宗,伴以酸汁蘸吃,新鮮味美,不錯。


埋單只需百元,我們兩人平均每人只需五十塊,單單是生蝦刺身也值回票價,簡直是超值。喜愛地道泰式小食的朋友記得不要錯過吧。

Usually the minced pork with spices and lime juice is served as a starter and wrapped in gem lettuce.It can also be eaten with rice, as I just did for my gourmet lunch.Good for hot summer days, when you have no appetite to eat.The minced pork contained many finely chopped shallots and a few leaves of basil, but enough to have an empowering lingering taste. Nice and appetising with the well mixed lime juice and finely chopped chili.

七月二日食友介紹的泰式小食店,聽說炸豬腩做得不錯,在公在私也想來試試,看看是泰式炸豬腩是怎個樣子。平時附近吃完飯見唔少外籍人士排隊,多少同附近酒吧街有些關係吧,大熱天時沒冷氣店仔,廚房那邊放著炸好的金黃豬腩,快快手買件豬腩埋位試試味。豬腩即叫再炸,上碟時還熱的但唔油,豬腩切成薄塊,肥的部分甘香可口,瘦的部分醃得夠味,奈何重覆翻炸,近骨的部分吃起來難免過韌。小店出品,幾十蚊小吃夠脆分量唔少,用來送冰啤一流,吃完未至於「超級」開心,但打包回家吃,皮仍然鬆脆,仍是滿意又稱心的。

小店出品,幾十蚊小吃夠脆分量唔少,用來送冰啤一流,吃完未至於「超級」開心,但打包回家吃,皮仍然鬆脆,仍是滿意又稱心的。
外賣為主小店,廚櫃菜式大部分都可以放上廿四小時。

店鋪很不起眼﹐所以有時經過都沒有發現。是日經過被其內裡廚房飄出的味道所吸引﹐停一停﹐望一望他們高高掛起的餐牌﹐大部份$30元包飲品。這店所供應的主要是3大類﹐炒飯﹐炒粉及湯粉。炒飯一共十六種 – (海鮮﹐菠蘿﹐芒果﹐蝦膏﹐辣肉碎﹐紅咖哩…),炒粉及湯粉也各有六款選擇﹐亦有多款小菜。 因第一次來﹐所以點了最穩陣的泰式炒飯來測試他們的實力。泰式炒飯 - 配炒飯的肉類就從牛﹐豬﹐雞選了雞肉。即叫即炒﹐所以要等了一會才有得吃。但亦因即叫即炒的關係﹐所以炒飯很熱﹐不會像茶餐廳般有時不冷不熱。點菜前以為泰式食物都是又濃有鹹﹐但這裡的泰式炒飯一點也不鹹﹐清清的。內裡有雞肉塊﹐洋蔥﹐少許香葉和幾條芥蘭。雖然餡料不多﹐但飯的份量也不算少﹐質素亦炒得不錯。全店都是泰國人打理﹐如下次經過會嘗試他們放在廚櫃裡的串燒以及架上不同的泰國小食。

I come here several of times a month to get their cheap and cheerful lunch sets ($30 with a choice of nice cold drinks). Just wanted to say that the place serves honest good food and the staff (mostly Thais) are very friendly. Their curries are not greasy although a tad toned down in terms of spiciness, probably to suit local taste. Portions are on the small side but definitely enough. PS: they tend to dish out huge portions of rice lol.They are open 24-7 and the women work their fingers to the

They are open 24-7 and the women work their fingers to the bones. I've been past it late at night and the place is often teeming with people (a lot of compatriots too). I will definitely support this little place so that hopefully it survives for a long long time.

Walked past this little joint many times, but it never appealed to me, firstly because there is no leaflet/menu for me to take away and study, and it looks a bit busy for me stop by and really study the place.Anyway, my friend got a take out from there, and showed me the picture as shown, the chicken looked quite tender and the rice looked ok, so I ordered one a few days later, and the chicken was as good as it looked. The sauce was sufficiently enough for me to finish the rice and chicken. The

Anyway, my friend got a take out from there, and showed me the picture as shown, the chicken looked quite tender and the rice looked ok, so I ordered one a few days later, and the chicken was as good as it looked. The sauce was sufficiently enough for me to finish the rice and chicken. The rice could have been hotter temperature wise.

Apart from the chicken with rice, I have also tried the Pad Thai, not sweet like the other Thai places which is good, but I needed to add some Soya sauce to liven it up.
There were 4 pieces of prawn in it too.

With all rices and noodles there is a drink included too, the lime one is not too sweet either.

在灣仔上班時,太公路經無數次,但就未曾光顧過此小店;非因不起眼,而是眼見光顧的全是泰藉人士,以為她們不做中國人生意的。看到蔡瀾介紹,知道中國人光顧都溝通到,週日在會展看完電影,就順道來光顧。店面很小 - 是由兩個很小相鄰單位「組合」而成,一邊主要是廚房和出售小食的部份;另一邊只有一個油鍋,和放了些椅桌。空間不太,客人都擠在裏面吃;有一桌是開在外面的,但此位置風太大途人也較多,坐在外面忍耐力要較強才好。兩個沒有太餓的人,要了:1. 香蒜豬肉 - 此店的強項是炸物,豬肉炸得很透,很酥,但肉汁還是保留了,加上經炸過的蒜片所帶出的香味,真是一流,又係好食到撼頭埋牆 - 當然,油炸食物很肥膩,建議人多才吃。2. 沙嗲 (雞肉及牛肉各一串) - 沙嗲汁頗香濃,不錯吃的;烤的火候也可以,肉質鮮嫩,但如果烤的時間再短一點更好;雞肉醃得不夠久,味道較薄。未能令人留下深刻印象。3. 飛天炒通菜:通菜夠新鮮,加上了適量的蒜蓉和辣椒,製作出來的火辣效果出奇地好;唯鑊氣略嫌不足,感覺有些欠缺;太公還是比較好喜九龍城熱鍋炒出來的。總括來說,此店的食物水準算相當不俗,而且價錢也相宜,港島區居民以後想吃便宜又好吃

總括來說,此店的食物水準算相當不俗,而且價錢也相宜,港島區居民以後想吃便宜又好吃的泰菜,不用再老遠跑到九龍區,也算是一大喜訊;不過,九龍新界區居民,在九龍區找到有此水準,甚至更高的便宜泰菜館 (如熱鍋和三姐妹) 不是難事,倒是不用老遠跑來吃的;除非獨愛泰菜中的油炸部份吧!
