Never thought I'd be able to celebrate my birthday in a very different way like the way I use to. Arun Thai made this day truly memorable for me. The dining room itself is truly fantastic, I was in total awe when I first stepped in, dining here with my closest friends under a ceiling with dangling ruby colored chandeliers, tables as black as the night stood out with ornaments from golden plates to sparkling clear wine glasses.
But all this glamor surrounding me is not sufficient to suppress my excitement. I needed to taste their food here.
We had various selections of food items from appetizer selections like Chicken Satay, Soft-Shelled Crab and a Waterfall Beef Salad to Entrees like Char Grilled Beef, Grilled Tiger Prawns and Steamed Fish in Lemongrass to a Dessert of Mango and Sticky Rice, Ginger Sorbet, Lemongrass Sorbet and Coconut Sorbet. What better choice to accompany our meal than a Bottle of their Heggies Chardonnay and Chateanueauf Du Pape.
After a long meal, while relaxing that I only started to notice and realize how beautiful and amazing the place is. Staffs who are at par with Hotel's Service standard (Everyone speaks fluent English, thought you ought to know). It's like you are not in Tsimshatsui at all but transported to a different place once you put your foot across their door.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, I bid farewell to my friends and to the staffs who attended our table with utmost service (of course no birthday will be perfect without a birthday cake and a song to go with it.) At last I took my last moment reminiscing my dining experience and took a last look at the restaurant before finally taking that step across the door where I was transported back to reality, back to Tsimshatsui, back to the buzzing crowd. Never would I imagine there is a place like this in the heart of Tsimshatsui.
Thank you Arun Thai for this wonderful event. I will be back again, and step into your door which will pull me out of reality.
