As I write this, my mouth is still enjoying the afterglow of the Ma-La-Di-Da pizza. The combination of numbing and heat from the pizza and Yu Kwen Yick hot wings is wonderful. The Old Fashioned with its chocolate bitters and home dried orange slice was intoxicating. Patrick, the Proprieter, Veronica the chef and all of the staff are friendly and attentive. Wonderful, cozy dining experience.

We ventured here for an evening meal on the back of some good recommendations and pictures that looked enticing. The diner itself was quite busy for midweek. The atmosphere of low glow red is quite cool. We ordered the ma la di da pizza ($158) with wings ($88) and fries. The pizza itself was loaded with fried chillies that we almost inedible. They were just dumped on top as opposed to being cooked in the pizza. When you took them off you were left with a small, ok salami pizza (5/10). The wings

最近得知這新店開張，決定父親節帶父親大人前來試試看！餐廳主打紐約街頭簿餅及手工啤酒，我們4人經侍應介紹後便點了當天的 3 樣推介：Black Bean Octopus Carpaccio, New York Pastrami Sandwich 及 3 B's Pizza，另加一客辣雞翼。侍應先讓我們試了幾款不同的啤酒，味道新奇，但較苦，因為本人對酒類沒硏究，就不多說了😅。反正我們點了幾杯，夾着 pizza、雞翼吃，是一種享受！這個 Carpaccio 是以煮熟了的八爪魚簿切，加上青瓜、小紅蘿蔔、火箭菜及醬汁，酸酸的，開胃又清新。這個 Hot wings 用的有別於一般美式的 Buffalo sauce，因為它是用了本地的余均益辣醬，由於同行人不能吃辣，所以要求辣汁另上。雞翼又是熱辣辣上抬的，配上辣汁及 Ranch dressing，很 fusion 的味道！這個 Pastrami Sandwich 是最令人喜出望外！牛肉是煙熏半生熟的，加上芝士及醬汁，麵包烘底，真是好好味！🤤 配上pickled 青瓜，美式風味十足！Three B's Pizza 的 3 個 B 是 Beacon, B

得悉此餐廳有售手工啤，於是探一探路。初開業，裝修是美式風格，店員說soft opening期間只收現金或AE。點了兩個有趣的菜式：余均益雞翼配藍芝士醬和薑蓉叉燒pizza,另配一客薯條。雞翼比預想中要辣一點，但味道很不錯。藍芝士醬味道濃烈又可幫忙解一點辣。薑蓉叉燒pizza的薑蓉和在燒臘店吃的薑蔥蓉味道一樣，真的是個很有趣的嘗試！手工啤一半是本地某品牌，選了芒果味那款但剛好剩下兩口，店員索性請我喝了，真好！下次再來挑戰其他pizza!

Went and tried Alvy's on Holland Street. The pizza was simply fabulous. The pizza had a nice rise and was perfectly cooked. The toppings were even better. My favourite was Mala Dee Daa (super spicy with numbing and regular chilies) and the vegetarian pizza with lots of chopped Asparagus (so it was actually healthy too!). Wonderfully cosy restaurant & bar with a subtle New York chic feel to it. This is THE place to go if you are a fan of locally brewed Young Master Ales. The restaurant staff are conscientious and attentive and there's a gentle touch of eccentricity from the mini dinosaurs dotted around to decorate the quiet corners of the room. The New York bites & Pizza's with a fusion twist adds another level of uniqueness to the experience. Definitely a hidden gem & a welcome addition to the bars in K Town.
