Ever since the virus outbreak, we seldom have hotpot. Since we have craving for hotpot and looking to find a comfortable place, I suggested canton pot. It was located at Lodgewood by L’hotel Mongkok Hong Kong, several minutes walk from Mongkok MTR. Their menu was very extensive, offering a wide range of soup base, seafood, meat and balls etc. Shortly after we were seated, they brought us trays of seasoning sauce for us to mix with. We ordered half pot of chicken broth with fresh coconut and Sichuan spicy soup. Chicken soup was clear and sweet, with not much MSG tasted. Chicken was juicy and smooth. Sichuan spicy soup was flavourful, good to go along with those ingredients.
American beef chuck - It was cut till thin in texture and was very tender and juicy.
Crispy bean curd rolls - It was very crispy and soft in texture. Sweet and sour sauce was provided to dip onto.
Mixed meatballs - It consisted of 4 ingredients in it. It was handmade, thus i could taste the freshness and was chewy.
Assorted meat ball platter - It consisted of prawn, pork, fishball and cuttlefish. It was slightly small in size and was chewy and juicy.
Prawn paste - The chef was generous with the portion of the paste, and was fresh and chewy.
Sweet potato noodles - Noodles were smooth in texture and was very chewy. We were full after finishing it.
Pomelo raindrop cake with chilled mango sago cream - Jelly cake was soft and smooth, absorbing the essence of the mango cream.
Green tea pudding with red bean - Red bean was chewy and sweet, and pudding was soft. with strong green tea taste.
After we have finished our dinner, the staff was attentive to give every customers 1 piece of mask.
