Even though it was full course, it shouldn't have taken that long.......By the time I had dessert, I was so sick and tired that I really wanted to leave.......Food was just OK. I was meeting up with one of my friends for lunch today. She suggested that we should go to this restaurant as the food and atmosphere is quite nice. So we went today and here are some comments. Atmosphere- nice, relaxed environment. Good for people who wants to enjoy the food and catch up with their friends. I was meeting up with one of my friends for lunch today. She suggested that we should go to this restaurant as the food and atmosphere is quite nice. So we went today and here are some comments.
Atmosphere- nice, relaxed environment. Good for people who wants to enjoy the food and catch up with their friends.
Food (Lunch set charged for $110) - The meal includes appetizer, entree, coffee/tea, and assumed dessert was included. The salad was ok.. nothing special. We both ordered the penne w/ foie gras. It was really delicious. The foie gras was pan seared to perfection. the foie gras just melts in your mouth. The sauce goes well w/ the foie gras too. For dessert, I ordered creme brulee and my friend ordered the citrus sorbet. The citrus sorbet was nice and refreshing. Not too sweet or filling. The creme brulee was OK. Nothing special or suprising. It was neither the worst nor the best creme brulee.
Service - Upon arrival, we thought the waitress/waiter was fine. He introduced us the specials and served us bread and water. Just like any other places would do. Then, some women interrupted us in the middle of the entree and asked if we wanted to have dessert. And said they have 3 types of dessert and blah blah blah. So we ordered. After the bill came, we realize that we had to pay an extra $20 for ordering dessert. GEEZ, the waitress could of told us ahead of time. It's not like she didn't know we ordered set lunches. They ONLY OFFER set lunches. GOSH!!!
Also, when we got the bill, we paid $300 for a meal that costs $286. They gave $4 change. So when we asked them. The waitress said, "yes i gave you the wrong change, i'm sorry." The way she said it is as if she gave us the wrong change intentionally.
What kind of service is this? They should train up this waitress to be more professional Honesty is important to retain customers in the service industry.
Therefore, if people want to come to this restaurant to taste the quality of the food, please readthe bill and the prices on the menu carefully.

差唔多食完主菜,問個大waitress "COFFEE OR TEA?" 佢答"COFFEE ANDTEA", 埋單先知甜品要+20,鬼唔知加錢可以COFFEE AND TEA, 我覺得唔多老實.

未如之前的食評家講得咁差,但如果話自己係法國菜,乜乜專門店,似乎應該乾淨D。

星期二首次往吃lunch。電梯到9樓還要步行多上一層,未上到樓已見人聲沸騰,暗喜,心想:「其門如市,質素一定不會差了!」進門一看原來店主「善用」空間,令每張枱之間只隔不到吋半的距離,難怪會像酒樓般吵耳了!站了良久才有侍應從廚房出來,被引領到已放有法包跟水的座位。包當然是冷的,兩隻杯子同樣是髒的,裹有一層不知是甚麼的奶色物體。侍應拿來兩只碟,其中一隻有很多污蹟,她看到了自行換掉,但換來的也好不了多少!Set Lunch $110一位,頭盤點了Day of Soup的蘑菇湯跟巴馬火腿火箭菜各一說明跟朋友分吃,來到卻沒為我們分碟。湯不好喝但尚算正常,沙律則連丁點汁也沒有,只有開水洗過的味道。主菜本來想點鴨腿,但要額外加$50覺得不值,而且見鄰桌的出品偏乾,於是乎和朋友各點了鵝肝跟羊膝。鵝肝是普通的貨式,不算好也不算差,伴隨的意大利麵量很少,男士們一定不夠飽。羊膝是你會我也會的燉的,不夠入味之餘很羶。甜品各點了法式焦糖燉蛋跟熱情果sorbet,燉蛋不冷也不熱,而sorbet則太酸。餐飲各點了熱檸檬茶跟咖啡,檸茶是用Ikea有耳杯盛的,檸檬也已經放到杯中,而不是跟小碟子另上。咖啡是暖的,就像樓上

埋單兩個人$286,問老闆娘加一以外多收的費用是甚麼,她答得理直氣壯:「是甜品的收費。」驚訝於甜品要額外收費,因是她替我點兩份的,要收費為何不在我柯打時言明?既吃了也罷,隨意問她:「不是說三道菜$110嗎?既然甜品要另費,那頭盤、主菜各算一道也只有兩道,那第三道菜是甚麼?」她居然答:「是餐茶。」我當場呆了,餐茶當一道菜,簡直聞所未聞,當下結帳離去,沒多付一分小費,當然更不會再光顧了!

I’m aware that this restaurant has actually changed hands and so recently tried the new “La Bouteille” and must say that the food quality was very good and the seafood was really fresh. Hope they are able to maintain the standard and will shortly make more choices of menu available. Price is not very cheap but worthwhile, and reasonable – especially if you don’t wish to compromise quality with cheaper price. However, the environment, in particular the lobby and staircase leading from 9/F to 10

Hope they are able to maintain the standard and will shortly make more choices of menu available. Price is not very cheap but worthwhile, and reasonable – especially if you don’t wish to compromise quality with cheaper price.

However, the environment, in particular the lobby and staircase leading from 9/F to 10/F can be further improved, as well as the cleanliness of the toilets.

An added advantage will be a wider choice of wine.

Overall, so far so good . . . and very much look forward to my next visit in tasting the yummy food again.

Went there for lunch today and found that the price of their set lunch has been revised upward to HK$110 pp AND at the same time, I think the portion has shrunk. Given this price, I think lunch at Soho would provide better value for money.

This has got to be one of the more memorable dinners of late!It was a Tuesday night, so the place was naturally quieter than usual. After a short flight of stairs from the ninth floor, where the elevators would farthest go, a warm smile was there to bid a welcome.Water was promptly served without even a need to request, followed by complimentary pre-appetizer (p漮in cured apple) and an endless supply of oven-fresh bread.Food quality was excellent throughout. It was a Tuesday night, so the place was naturally quieter than usual. After a short flight of stairs from the ninth floor, where the elevators would farthest go, a warm smile was there to bid a welcome.

Water was promptly served without even a need to request, followed by complimentary pre-appetizer (p漮in cured apple) and an endless supply of oven-fresh bread.

Food quality was excellent throughout. The three appetizers, though petite, were nicely done. Both taste and presentation appealed. The foie gras in particular was superb and lived up to the reputation. The main course (ranch chicken with foie gras ravioli in truffle sauce) was also right on, sumptuous but never over the top. The dessert, a cr鋗e brulee, sported a very thick caramel crust that was well appreciated.

To top off the experience, the service was highly delightful. There was no sparing of smiles and attention, and the bread and water just kept coming. It was simply the best service in years!

My colleague treated me to lunch at this restaurant today. At first, I wasn't very pleased, as the outside environment wasn't very nice, but after arriving at the restaurant, the ambiance changed my mind. My colleague booked a window seat, and we ordered our meals. The soup was out of my expectations, as I could taste the naturalness of the pumpkin (it's not canned soup). The duck leg was very tender and the skin was really crispy and really nice! The taste was just right, not too salty but not tasteless. The dessert was also very nice. The portions are the right size, because if they were even bigger, we would've felt way too full. Most of all, their home-made lemon water was great..very unique! The price isn't extreme either, $90 for the set lunch, is reasonable for a nice meal in Central. A mon avis, as long as it's worth it, then $90 is ok. The waitresses provided good service, and the food was hot =)

Extra point: You can't expect small restaurants to keep a large amount of their stock - there is a cost involved. If they don't finish selling that type of food in one day, what will they do with the leftovers? Do you want to be fed with leftover food?

Another extra point: Just because some people have bad experiences, it may just be because of bad luck. Some people have good experiences, and they should be taken note of as well as the bad experiences =)
