Le Bistro just changed their Head Chef about a month ago and I went there for dinner for the first time. Previously I have been there for lunch once, about a year ago, and wasn't too impressed. This time was however a totally different experience, and I was quite impressed with most of their dishes. Le Bistro just changed their Head Chef about a month ago and I went there for dinner for the first time. Previously I have been there for lunch once, about a year ago, and wasn't too impressed. This time was however a totally different experience, and I was quite impressed with most of their dishes. In addition to their regular printed menu, there were also some daily specials on the blackboard. First off, it should be mentioned that their sourdough with butter was really good. It had just the right acidity, softness and moisture on the inside, and the crust was slightly crunchy and not overly chewy. For starter we had Hokkaido scallops carpaccio with granny smith apple and shallot cream, which was quite nice and refreshing. Moving on to the next dish, we had the slow-cooked egg with truffle and girolle mushrooms, which was just SO fragrant. I especially liked the emulsion and the whole dish just felt so creamy yet not heavily at all. For middle course we had the daily fish with yellow wine sauce and butternut puree. The daily fish was sole, and honestly I had never had sole fish that had this much flavour (my previous experience with sole, even at fine-dining restaurants, was always that it was very bland), so I was naturally quite surprised. But the best part of the dish was the yellow wine sauce, which tasted great in itself and complemented the fish very well. The highly anticipated main course was pigeon and foie gras pithivier, which was one of their signatures since before Chef Léa, and one which I had always had interest in. The pastry was very nicely done, flaky and buttery, and neither too thick nor too thin. The pigeon was also cooked to a perfect medium and tasted great. The foie gras was, however, overcooked especially on the upper portion near the pastry crust. Overall the dish was a very good one, and just needs some fine-tuning. Finally, for desserts we had chocolate fondant and pear & almond tart. I wouldn't say these were very remarkable, but I did enjoy them and happily ended the meal on a sweet note.

Le Bistro is an excellent restaurant of its kind and offers much more than average bistro fare. One can feel that a lot of thought, effort and passion is put into the design and execution of each dish. Would love to come back and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for some nice French food in a laid-back setting.

I have ordered a lunch set with green salad for appetizer, duck breast for main and poached pear for dessert. The salad is, well, just a salad, but the duck breast fell short of expectation. It’s too chewy and I would say a bit too raw (probably below medium). I had to give up half way through it. The poached pear was nice though. The bigger problem of the place, however, was service which they had none. The male manager put up a poker face throughout the whole time I was there, making him look

朋友久未相聚, reunion 選了這法國小店, 三個女生點了四個starter/ side (鵝肝; 帶子; 薯條; 菜沙律) 兩個main (duck confit; cod fish) 和開了一枝白酒。食物方面是吃得出小餐館的心思: 鵝肝煎得剛剛好,外脆內軟,用杏肉一起煮令整道菜非常清新。薯條是送酒傾計之選 - 當中加有日式木魚碎作調味,惹味!另duck confit 肉質鮮嫩沒有渣, 份量也很足夠。有點可惜的是酒不太夠凍。政府因為放寬了用餐時間至12時,所以我們也吃得開懷, 可是大約吃至差不多10時的時候, 兩位服務生開始顯得有點不耐煩, 在未有完全把食物吃光的時候欲收碟清枱, 然後更直接告訴我們11pm 會打烊,並送上賬單......我們見當時還有其他客人還在進食中, 覺得甚為奇怪。不久, 外籍女主廚走出來跟各枱人客打招呼,還索性坐低在其中一枱跟客人傾談。這時我們著一位男服務員(狀似經理) 為我們拍照, 怎知道他板著臉以三秒三為我們拍了兩張完全朦查查的照片😑 他這個無聲抗議,看來不應該發洩在客人身上吧!

4/5Bread is not my type here, abit dry and hard, is better after toasted on the other appetiser. Scallops cappaccio and fish ceviche is alright, nice presentation and ingredients, but flavour is just fine. Scallops cappaccio and fish ceviche is alright, nice presentation and ingredients, but flavour is just fine.

Foie gras terrine is good, creamy and fragrant.

For the main, pithivers quail and foie gras is great. The meat, texture, flavour all right. The duck is good too, middle part better as more tender, fragrant of duck wish could be more strong, is just taste like meat now.

Desserts is lovely too, good chefs here.

這裡的麵包不是我的類型,有點乾而硬,在另一個開胃菜上烤後會更好。

扇貝cappaccio和魚酸橘汁還可以,很不錯的外觀和配料,但是味道還不錯。

鵝肝醬是很好的,奶油和香。

從總體上來說,碧璽鵪鶉和鵝肝很棒。 肉,質地,味道都還可以。 鴨子也很好,中間越嫩越好,鴨子的願望可以更濃烈,現在就像肉一樣。

甜點也很可愛,這裡的廚師很棒。

知道有新menu可以外賣自取,嘗試在他們的網址訂午餐,由於他們系統只可以送貨,另外要加$65外賣費用,所以便直接打電話給他們聯絡,預訂午餐,之後再去取。今次試了他們比較出名的beef tartare套餐。午餐有:Beef Tartare, roasted potatoes & 24-month Comté Cheese $168. 外賣同餐牌的相片差不多,都好新鮮,幾滿意。

自從未搬這個舖時已很想去試他們的beef tartare,可惜一路都未有機會。今次終於.約朋友去試,新的舖面比起以前的小,但都不失法國小店的風情。星期四的晚上已有很多法國人去飲酒及吃飯,反而香港人就沒見。由於今次是試食,所以叫了些食物一起試食。Starters叫了一個assorted platter試。有我們喜歡的beef tartare同tuna tartare,還有duck croquette同法式凍肉。Roasted green asparagus 就酸酸的,不是好特別。主菜點了最受歡迎的beef tartare及french fries, 好新鮮及好配。牛扒都好juicy,好喜歡配松露汁,如果有多些汁就更好了。北海道帶子好新鮮,配以cheese及松露,十分夾。 由於太胞了、所以已食不落甜品了,下次再試。

用上大西洋三文魚,好大份同每一塊都好厚。三文魚上面配有芹菜同鯡魚魚子醬,底部則有熱情果醬,同三文魚嘅味道意想不到咁襯,而且厚切質感結實,好有滿足感。
Thickly sliced Atlantic salmon is used in a great portion. It is topped with celery and herring caviar, while the bottom is marinated with passion fruit sauce, which matches well with the salmon. The salmon is firm and satisfying with its thickness.

紐約客取自前腰脊肉部位,運動量高因此肉質結實,但用上和牛又感覺唔會太韌,係一個幾好嘅平衡點。用上橄欖醬同洋蔥果醬提升咗肉嘅鮮味,值得一試。
Striploin is the part which exercises a lot, that gives a rich and firm texture. But with the use of wagyu, it won't taste too tough and strike a great balance. With the tapenade and onion marmalade, it escalates the taste of the striploin.

用上大量嘅法國牛肉,冇過多嘅配料,展示牛本身嘅質感同味道,用上雞蛋令質感更加嫩。配有即炸、脆身嘅薯條。
The beef tartare has made use of a large portion of French Blonde d'Aquitaine beef. Without excessive ingredients, it shows clearly the texture and the taste of the beef itself. With the egg, it smoothens the texture of the beef tartare. It is served with a freshly deep-fried, crispy fries.

第二次來午市 有starter , main course + dessert/ coffee starter 選了garden salad & +$60 sea bream , very good! Main course , Atlantic salmon + wagyu beef , dessert rice budding / chocolate brownie , 不是第一次來吃!主菜三文魚及牛肉都好味!頭盤是garden salad 好清新!另一頭盤 sea bream. They are now offering take away menu at hkd138 ! 今日約佐朋友去灣仔食飯,灣仔黎講,最懷念就係呢間餐廳。點佐一個set lunch, 食牛扒六成熟。牛扒岩岩好,有鮮嫩肉汁,而且肉質一咬就開,啖啖肉。而個甜品係雲呢拿雪糕,雲呢拿籽好香,好好食😋呢個set lunch 食佐2年,而家加價加到$198 +10%. CP 值相對以前低d , 不過好味依然。

當下疫情十分嚴重, 彷彿出街吃飯也要擔心的,但如何情況下,人總需要吃飯的,也需要生活的,人的生命力就是這麼強,情人節就吃法國餐。先來面包,內有提子及果仁,配上帶鹹味的牛油,甜得來軟滑好吃。開胃菜是鴨肉餅,有2款做法,第一種是果凍的做法,味道濃烈,第二種是炸鴨肉鬆,這裏最重要的是配合了氣泡酒,酒的甜味進一步帶出鴨的肉香。前菜為帶子伴三文魚子,帶子配上酸酸的熱情果醬,帶出鮮味,三文魚子是甜甜的,配上了白酒這個酸味較重,刺激味蕾後更令帶子鮮味突出。主菜為海鱸魚扒配鮮露筍,魚扒跟橄欖醬汁是非常配合,最喜歡魚扒的皮沒有鱗及魚肉沒有骨,配上的白酒是酸味再濃郁的,魚的鮮味再進一步提升。再來的主菜是紐西蘭羊肉排配洋蔥汁,羊肉的騷味不濃而且烹調得軟硬適中,肉汁豐富得來亦沒有太生的感覺,配的紅酒有點點的澀味,使羊肉的味道更突出。甜品為布朗尼配雲尼拿雪葩,布朗尼不太甜是我喜歡的,配的白酒甜度很高,這個太甜了。味道: 出色環境: 擠迫服務: 尚可衛生: 整潔抵食: 價錢跟環境及食物尚可接受
