On my way home I wanted smth quick to eat and passed by Pasta Mio. Decided to do a quick takeaway Spaghetti Pomodoro.The wait wasn't long but when I went to pay I was kind of surprised that it cost $78 for a small takeway box of spaghetti! Much more expensive than Te so was a bit disappointed.Got home and the pasta was nice and hot- they have a microwave they use in plain sight for some of the baked orders, but thankfully my pasta was boiled fresh, with sauce heated by a pan (smth offputting abo

Decided to do a quick takeaway Spaghetti Pomodoro.

The wait wasn't long but when I went to pay I was kind of surprised that it cost $78 for a small takeway box of spaghetti!
Much more expensive than Te so was a bit disappointed.

Got home and the pasta was nice and hot- they have a microwave they use in plain sight for some of the baked orders, but thankfully my pasta was boiled fresh, with sauce heated by a pan (smth offputting about paying money at a restaurant and watching them microwave your food....)

The spaghetti was really really thick- almost like eating Shanghainese egg noodles. I agree with the other review here that said they could eat it with chopsticks.

It was however very tasty- maybe the speghetti cos it was home made was quite thick but I think it actually soaked up the sauce (which was hearty and healthy with a nicely portioned sprinkling of real cheese on top- no parmesan from the bottle).

Will definately go back cos the pasta was good, but maybe not so often as it's kinda expensive for a takeaway place.

每次路過這間新開不久的自助意粉店"Pasta Mio",總有衝動想去試,很可惜,我路過的時間,不是接近深夜,就是在早上,有緣無份.是日中午在附近的二手服裝店看些東西,終於可以來試試其意粉,接近中午飯時間,竟然不是很多人光顧.以外賣為主,坐位只有數個的"Pasta Mio",不要看店子少少,單是意粉的總類,有十多款選擇,當中有大家熟識的長通粉,意粉,蝴蝶粉之外,亦有一些Fiocchi,Pizzoccheri,Rigatoni等多款意大利粉.店外貼出意粉,醬汁的簡介,那一款意粉,配那一款醬汁,一目了然.對意粉不大熟識的朋友,看罷之後也會有一定的概念.意粉份量有分大,小.由最便宜的$38,到最貴的$88,想取中庸之道?有set lunch供應,$58一客Gnocchi,還包一罐飲品,其實,價錢是與Regular size一樣,不過多一罐飲品而已.所有麵條即叫即煮,Gnocchi配Pomodoro,即是用香草與番茄做出來的番茄醬.Gnocchi本身混合了薯仔,入口煙煙齦齦,感覺實在.伴以比較濃味,酸酸甜甜的醬汁,最為適合.不要看盒子不大,其實份量也不少,與在意大利菜館,吃一碟意粉的份量相若,$

 不要看盒子不大,其實份量也不少,與在意大利菜館,吃一碟意粉的份量相若,$58這個價位,還是平正統意大利餐廳一截.但是大多人眼中,以這個格局,買一盒$88Tortellono,還是覺得貴.

 天氣雖然熱一點,坐在店外靠著閣麟街,看著穿梭身邊的中環OL們,哈哈,也是在平淡之中找一些樂趣吧.

The owners of Pasta Mio are going to be pretty successful in my opinion. This type of take-away Pasta Shop has been missing all this time, and ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE YET TO ACQUIRE THE FULL LICENSE for at site sitting for now, they've already gotten themselves a few loyal customers. Pasta's are air-flown in from overseas, and prices start from around $68 - $78 for a Larger Size. Which - the box might look small, but there is a lot of pasta in it! **Spaghetti Alla Chitarra with Bolognese Ragu

Spaghetti Alla Chitarra with Bolognese Ragu -
You could almost eat these with chopsticks. The meat ragu is not bad for a take-out shop, in fact better than many local restaurants. It has a little too much tomato in it though, but there's plenty of ragu tossed in with the pasta. The Chitarra was slightly too undercooked for me, it was almost like eating 油麵. For $78, this was quite a substantial serving as I struggled to finish it. I'll order the Regular size next time.

Pedras Mineral Water -
A natural sparkling Mineral Water from Portugal, this was quite weak in the effervescence gassing. At $18/each for a pretty small bottle, I will personally NOT order this again. Its a bit too opportunistic.

OVERALL, A DECENT TAKE-AWAY JOINT, WILL COME BACK TO TRY OTHER PASTA'S AND SAUCES.
