知道來自京都的蛋糕店Patisserie Yamakawa,最出名的是招牌"卷蛋",是日有DR請大家食Tea,當然唔放過機會大飽口福~~抹茶精不用考慮便選了抹茶紅豆忌廉卷Macha And Azuki Rolled Cake,厚切的卷蛋每件也漲卜卜大大件,看見深綠色的蛋糕卷著白白忌廉,還有大大粒的十勝紅豆,賣相滿分!!!拿起叉子嚐第一口,軟綿綿的蛋糕,充滿了抹茶的味道,沒有太甜膩太搶,配著滑滑有奶香的法國忌廉,入口即溶的感覺~內裡頭的十勝紅豆甜甜的有咬口,配合得恰到好處~~好滿足呀~~好味到想吃多一件~~!!以後抹茶精又有心頭好啦~~~!!

賣相滿分!!!

拿起叉子嚐第一口,軟綿綿的蛋糕,
充滿了抹茶的味道,
沒有太甜膩太搶,
配著滑滑有奶香的法國忌廉,
入口即溶的感覺~
內裡頭的十勝紅豆甜甜的有咬口,
配合得恰到好處~~
好滿足呀~~
好味到想吃多一件~~!!

以後抹茶精又有心頭好啦~~~!!

一眾好友相約飯局敍舊,心中一直盤算着買些有特色的蛋糕但又不要大路貨如美心、聖安娜、東海堂等出品作飯後甜品,網上大熱的 roll cake 店大部份都在九龍區,正費煞思良之際,突然醒起 IFC City'super 內 “Patisserie Yamakawa” 的卷蛋口碑也不錯,中午便決定往國金走一趟。這間來自日本京都的 Patisserie Yamakawa, 在本港兩間city'super都設有店舖,其始創人山川良廣先生出身於日本京都宇治,曾在法國磨練甜點廚藝,有二十多年製作甜品的經驗,所以做出來的甜點揉合了法國和日本兩者的風格技術及口味。山川師傅於 2004 在京都宇治開設店舖,店名就是以其姓氏來命名。聽聞在選料上這位製餅師也十分嚴謹,就好像為了要追求那份香濃而不澀的甘香,他便堅持只選用頂級的宇治抺茶,更以人手製作出法式高級蛋糕,此種山川式的風格,自成一派,有別於一般店舖。此外,山川先生亦善於運用每個不同時節的當造食材,做出合時的甜點。至於香港分店方面,據稱店舖也同樣堅守上述精神,用料非常講究,一切依照日本總店製作,而且山川老師兩位入室弟子亦被派來香港坐鎮,務求讓一眾香

至於香港分店方面,據稱店舖也同樣堅守上述精神,用料非常講究,一切依照日本總店製作,而且山川老師兩位入室弟子亦被派來香港坐鎮,務求讓一眾香港的甜品愛好者吃到真正來自京都的甜美。

芒果忌廉卷蛋 ($90) -- 這款蛋糕售價比同類型條裝卷蛋平,每條只需 $90, 比較抵食,其餘條裝的綠茶紅豆及栗子卷蛋,一律 $100 一條。炎炎夏日,正值芒果當造的季節,以鮮甜多汁的芒果做主角,絕對是濕悶夏日的明智之選。這卷蛋的芒果味道入口香甜,氣味芳香,甜中帶酸;至於蛋糕部份,入口出奇地軟綿綿又富蛋香,組織細密,香滑兼富彈性;忌廉則豐厚幼滑,濃而不膩,甜度適中;以醇厚濃郁的香芒果酸味配合整條鬆軟幼滑的蛋糕來吃,確是水準之作,為味蕾帶來滿足感,令人回味不矣。

抹茶紅豆忌廉卷蛋 ($32) -- 據聞這卷蛋的抹茶是採用京都宇治天然抹茶粉製作,故茶味回甘且帶點天然芳香,但絕不帶一絲澀味,只要看看那呈深綠色的海綿卷蛋,便可知其抹茶味道如何的濃郁;至於那層忌廉是由店舖特別訂購一部價值 20 萬日元的忌廉機打製而成,這部機可於半分鐘內極速打忌廉,加上採用奶香味濃的法國忌廉,所以忌廉吃來細滑豐厚兼充滿奶香,入口即溶,再配合埋北海道十勝紅豆,確實加倍美味。至於蛋糕部份亦非常鬆化,柔軟如海綿般,厚厚的卻不覺甜膩,非常可口,難怪那麼輕易便成為店內招牌甜品之一。

焦糖燉蛋布甸 ($22) -- 其實初吃這甜品時,無可否認是有點大鄉里,因為是第一次吃這款甜品的關係,沒有留意原來焦糖是藏在布甸底下,所以當頭幾啖只吃面頭的布甸時,入口較淡,味道一般,不過後來把布甸與焦糖混和後,味道就完全不同。布甸質感挺身中帶軟滑,需用舌尖推開,入口夠 creamy, 富張力之餘亦非常細滑,而且蛋味豐富,加上那焦糖的苦味與醇厚香滑的雞蛋甜味混為一體,舌尖即時嘗到苦與甜的交錯,有種既矛盾又平和的甜蜜滋味。

栗子布朗蛋糕 ($42) -- 栗子 Mont-Blanc 蛋糕採用了九州熊本及宮崎兩縣的栗子混合,然後磨製成蓉,怪不得這蛋糕的栗子蓉鮮甜不膩,入口軟綿即化,滿口栗子芳香。至於蛋糕中間則拌入了栗子粒以增加口感,內層是朱古力蛋糕,頂部就放上原粒栗子,無論在造型和色彩上,都充份展現豐富的層次感。蛋糕入口如乳脂般順滑,口感綿密,濕度適中,尤其雪凍來吃,入口冰冰涼涼,難怪被稱為店內的人氣甜點,吃後真令人十分滿足。

忌廉吉士巴夫 ($20) -- 這款泡芙在店內標明是 limited production ,而從外貌看來確也頗為可愛小巧。其實成功的泡芙,必需要做到外面鬆化膨脹,但內裏中空輕盈有如氣泡,吃時如一陣清風般,入口鬆香。至於這裏的泡芙,質感豐盈兼富彈性,內藏原味忌廉吉士,這吉士醬把整個泡芙塞得滿滿的,入口像吃奶昔般,非常幼滑,奶味和蛋味同樣濃郁,甜度適中,口感幼滑鬆軟,簡直是愈吃愈滋味。

據說此店陳列櫃內的所有甜品款式,排列次序亦與京都總店一式一樣,一絲不苟,非常嚴格,充份體現日本人做事認真仔細,務實而嚴謹的作風,難怪這裏的甜品做形精緻,確令人賞心悅目。

濃朱古力熱情果慕絲蛋糕 is very good!! green tea roll cake and chestnut roll cake are not bad but i think Ceres is a lot better.I will definitely try its other cakes in the future

She stared back for a second, before the look on her face began evolving ever so slowly over the next milli-seconds as it started from keeping a bit of oomph still before developing that attitude of 'what are you staring at boy', 'I'm too good for you, you know that', with a little sinister sneer happening on the corner of her lips before she finished it off by looking away with disdain. Like, it was out of my league to even set my eyes upon her just because I got curious as to who she might even be.

Not long after, her boyfriend came by and I realised why I was not of much interest to her. You see, the guy was as superfit as Mr. Hong Kong, even reminding me a little of a hybrid version of an Edison Chan just with more muscles, less of a wry smile and would have made the 黃長X 系 wannabe amateurish. Well, I made the vow to myself right there on the spot then - I will one day, train to become fit again. >o<

Anyway right after that sad little episode, which obviously didn't gain me new found confidence as even though I'm not obese or anything, I'm definitely not as fit as I want or used to be! I probably eat too much for reviewing! SO I RETREATED DOWNSTAIRS AND WALKED ABOUT, HOPING FOR SOME CONDOLENCE OF SORTS, BUT WAIT... HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE....
- Yamakawa has just introduced a new Tiramisu Cup?

- Yama also advertises itself as using real authentic Italian alcohol rather than the more troublefree instant coffee liquor, together with real Espresso to make their new version?


TIRAMISU -

Well I began thinking. I am probably not as bad as what that very hot but superficial woman thinks I am, I don't think I'm that bad come on
. I mean I probably only carry just a little bit of baby dolphin fat carried over from winter (u know, chu-toro at most....). Besides I really needed dessert to comfort myself & feel better again. Everybody needs to eat sometime arrrgh...
The Tiramisu is served in cup form, basically what I label as Les Verrines style, therefore I was expecting a more trifle like version than a cake version. The top layer of mascarpone cream was quite good for once, it really held a delectable cream cheese profile. Unlike my own preferred version however this one carried coffee or alcohol taste only at the bottom of the cup, rather than throughout the overall concoction. There's a round disc of spongy cake beneath rather than a savoiardi finger base, but it really carried lots of marsala wine influence, more so than a slightly nowhere to be seen espresso taste. There was so much of this liquid, it literally flooded the bottom of the cup as one can see from my close-up photo. I thought the sponge seemed a tad too wet. Anyway this was a pretty good Tiramisu definitely, one of the better ones around.

MANGO ROLL CAKE -

Whilst at it I figured I might as well eat another Roll cake - I haven't tried their famous version yet to compare it to say Ceres Boulangarie or a few other places. Its not like it'll make a big difference right, since I've pledged to exercise more tomorrow?

This is $29/piece and around $100 for a roll. If you ask my opinion, I think the recent fad of roll cakes is a little unjustified, possibly a bit overpriced, perhaps unsustainable... afterall a lot of them are being sold at over-inflated prices, when its basically a simple Cakes-101 level sponge layer rolled in with some cream and diced fruit, something traditional HK shops also have been selling at only $10-15 for a whole roll, some even tasting great and carry that attractive tiger stripes!! Well the one here at $29/piece was actually quite a thick cut, so compared to say Ceres which is $15/piece but much thinner in width - they are to be fair really priced the same. This was ok-good. The sponge did not had as much eggy taste as Okada Coffee's version, but the cream seems more natural, and the mangoes inside were pretty refreshing. I liked this version slightly more compared to the Chestnut version here which I was given FREE as a trial testing, as that was just a little sweet and canned in chestnut paste taste. I think this is quite a different version to Ceres' version to compare though, as that doesn't even had a skin layer and was way moister in execution! Each to their own.

So anyway, here I was pretty satisfied again after eating 2 cakes at Yamakawa, and it was slightly more noteworthy than the last 2 cakes I ate from here.. I'd forgotten my woes just from a few minutes ago, and it was finally time for dinner! (the cakes were my entree)

(But yes, I think I need to stick to my vows, eat just a tad less and work out more for this summer, start puffing away on the treadmill! A balanced lifestyle is always the best one..
)

是日到港外線搭船, 上船前正好先來這裡買兩件餅上船吃. 餅櫃前花多雙眼亂, 還是要靠朋友之前的貼圖來選擇.焦糖綠茶布甸: 9分, 綠茶布甸好滑, 先剩吃綠茶布甸能夠感受綠茶的濃郁, 在加以底下點點焦糖撈埋同吃, 更有畫龍點睛的作用, 想像不到的化學作用. 不是一味的死甜, 而係甜中有綠茶味.焦糖朱古力慕絲蛋糕: 9分, 慕絲蛋糕好滑, 焦糖味道不會太搶, 始終主角是朱古力.想新鮮吃這裡的出品, 除了在商場立吃, 在船上吃其實更加合適. 或許小弟實很喜歡焦糖類的甜品, 是日來個Double, 很滿足.

吃完Favaca致電太公,得知她在Chocolux奮戰中將甜胃納耗盡了,甜品下場臨時改為近來好鬼鍾意的XTC雪糕(遲些介紹)。最後發覺Citysuper與及餅店仍未關門,臨回程前再買下兩件甜品。 上次仔細寫過綠茶紅豆卷($32)不重複了,今次只講講另一焦點所在的抹茶布甸($25)。呈深綠色的布甸其實很細,份量不多但抹茶味勁濃,濃得十分剛強而非預期中的柔和自然,對於自認非綠茶怪的我,是過重了;由於樽身較幼,好不客易筆至底層黑糖層,味道也是苦多於甜,對於甘苦的綠茶味幫助不大。 不過拋開味道不計,布甸的質感是十分的細膩柔滑的,所以我相信原味布甸應該較廣為大眾口味接受,而且價錢只需$22,下次有機會再試吧~~~

抹茶布甸($25)。呈深綠色的布甸其實很細,份量不多但抹茶味勁濃,濃得十分剛強而非預期中的柔和自然,對於自認非綠茶怪的我,是過重了;由於樽身較幼,好不客易筆至底層黑糖層,味道也是苦多於甜,對於甘苦的綠茶味幫助不大。
 
不過拋開味道不計,布甸的質感是十分的細膩柔滑的,所以我相信原味布甸應該較廣為大眾口味接受,而且價錢只需$22,下次有機會再試吧~~~

拎上手好重好重, 初時大家都唔知道係乜野, 以為係本書.
表妹話要先放雪櫃喎, 邊有蛋糕咁重架?
一打開蘋果味已經擁出來, 蘋果肉好多好大粒呀!
不過大家食到咁飽, 每有切了一小片品嚐.

味道太甜, 好糖水feel, 本人都鍾意食appie pie既,
不過食m記多, 個皮脆脆, 入面有少少蘋果蓉就夠喇.

呢個唔太識得欣賞, 成個食左差不多一星期..

Caramel & Chocolate Mousse Gateau:I actually didn't actually buy these as someone really nice decided to treat me with Yamakawa's cakes, knowing I'm a cake lover but weary of possible diabetes at the same time as I ain't so keen to thy legs amputated to knee level so soon! Anyway hope this cake is named correctly as I tasted mostly Caramel on the top layer with a bit of Chocolate mousse beneath. Was it good? It tastes good but seemed a bit too dense and uncreative. I expect more from Patiss

Anyway hope this cake is named correctly as I tasted mostly Caramel on the top layer with a bit of Chocolate mousse beneath. Was it good? It tastes good but seemed a bit too dense and uncreative. I expect more from Patisserie Yamakawa in terms of thought process and layering-wise, I suppose!

Chestnut Mont Blanc:
My benchmark for a Chestnut Mont Blanc is C'est Mieux, the predecessor which used to occupy the spaces now taken over by Yamakawa. The version here was really dense at first but luckily its the price you pay for its generous amount of chestnut paste taste. Compared to that fluffier C'est Mieux version which was softer and carried both tinned and fresh chestnut taste all in one, the Yamakawa version served here was mainly of the tinned chestnut variety. Topped with half a piece of very welcome sugarized Marron Glacé, it has both advantages and weaknesses compared to its competitor. Epoch's Mont Blanc might win over these two Japanese offerings in terms of looks, but in terms of natural taste, its C'est Mieux > Yamakawa > Epoch for now.

本身自己唔係咁好甜食ge人~但就好like望住d蛋糕點解可以整得咁靚~好似d藝術品咁~自己平時返工見住d客always都黎買佢o地食~心諗"佢o地真係咁好食咩"~早個排~係mami+我個fd都生日~so我就決定係自己公司其下ge cake shop買d靚靚蛋糕俾佢o地~順便買埋自己想食好耐ge蛋糕~咁我就買o左以下4款蛋糕~抹茶紅豆忌廉卷蛋~li個妹妹揀o左黎食~佢話食落口個抹茶味唔會搶晒蛋糕應有ge蛋味~忌廉入口即溶~可惜內裡配的紅豆不多~可惜~整體上是好食的~蘋果杏仁蛋糕酥皮層,玉桂蘋果,吉士,法式朱古力無花果蛋糕,杏仁蛋糕這是我期待已久ge其中一款蛋糕~皆因我好喜歡吃有蘋果ge甜品~亦都好開心ge係li款cake冇令我失望~薄薄ge酥皮~夠鬆化~玉桂跟蘋果永遠都是最佳partner~蘋果依然爽口~而且果肉大小差不多,不會相差很大~吉士不多~最突出莫過於係朱古力無花果蛋糕li part~2者 mix埋出其地係好~如果有小朋友唔like食新鮮ge無花果(好似我咁)ge話~li個係好ge選擇~最底個層係杏仁蛋糕~但由於對上個層ge口感太豐富啦~so li層變得失色了不少~but 我依然

忌廉入口即溶~可惜內裡配的紅豆不多~可惜~
整體上是好食的~
蘋果杏仁蛋糕

酥皮層,玉桂蘋果,吉士,法式朱古力無花果蛋糕,杏仁蛋糕
這是我期待已久ge其中一款蛋糕~
皆因我好喜歡吃有蘋果ge甜品~
亦都好開心ge係li款cake冇令我失望~
薄薄ge酥皮~夠鬆化~
玉桂跟蘋果永遠都是最佳partner~
蘋果依然爽口~而且果肉大小差不多,不會相差很大~
吉士不多~最突出莫過於係朱古力無花果蛋糕li part~
2者 mix埋出其地係好~如果有小朋友唔like食新鮮ge無花果(好似我咁)
ge話~li個係好ge選擇~
最底個層係杏仁蛋糕~但由於對上個層ge口感太豐富啦~
so li層變得失色了不少~
but 我依然最愛li個~

濃朱古力熱情果慕絲蛋糕

我家最不喜歡li個~可能外內ge味道對比太極端了~
mami跟妹妹唔係咁like li個~
但我覺得整體食左之後~唔會覺得好甜~~仲有少少回甘ge感覺~
外層濃濃ge朱古力醬>朱古力蛋糕>熱情果慕絲~
不好甜食的人士~li個係good choice~

聽聞這裡的 抹茶紅豆忌廉卷蛋 ($32) 很出名, 所以趁去搭小輪途中走去買來吃。在店面落單之後, 要去在隔壁 Little Mermaid Bakery 旁的收銀處付款之後再回去拿餅。說時遲那時快, 店員小姐已經把它放入精美白色手抽餅盒內了, 但她會再打開盒子讓顧客驗明正身, 方為貨銀兩紇。拿了去碼頭吃, 一面吃一面欣賞無敵維港景, 是為至高享受也。這個卷蛋其實可以做得更好的, 大家見到圖中蛋糕部份的大大個氣泡嗎? 這樣蛋糕的質感就大大打了折扣啊...而且吃著也覺得蛋糕有點乾。幸好有綠茶的色水和芳香搭夠, 還有厚厚的幼滑忌廉和鬆化甜美的紅豆粒, 給你過關啦。不忿氣, 又有另一次機會再訪, 便選了另一款 日本栗子卷蛋 ($32)。這次的蛋糕就對辦得多了, 而且鬆軟合度, 蛋香不算太濃郁。忌廉是照樣的不錯, 裡面的餡就換成了日式糖漬栗子 (黃色一粒粒那些)。可能是栗子的份量不多, 不大吃得出其甘香, 如果是栗子蓉卷蛋的話我會比較喜歡呢。

有次見到呢件餅,無買。每次經過都唔見,候左好耐,終於皇天不負有心人,今日重遇!件餅有好多層,好墜手!層次是:酥皮>蘋果>吉士>法式朱古力無花果蛋糕>啡色蛋糕。其實mixture很各有各味,可能就係最底o個層係杏仁蛋糕,但一D杏仁味都無!最好食,反而係朱古力無花果蛋糕層。酥皮微脆,蛋糕濕濕立立,整體件餅有點不倫不類。佢d麵包好食,但蛋糕……期望太高添!

After dinner a friend and i decided to try their cakes. After looking at the pretty selection we decided on two: Strawberry Cream Cake and a Greentea and red bean roll cakeThe strawberry cream cake was very fresh even though we bought it at late night. The strawberries were juicy - they probably used the japanese variety. The green tea cake was also very good. Very light. We finished each easily as they were both really light and TINY in size. For $40 ea i'm sure you could get something tastier

For $40 ea i'm sure you could get something tastier and more fulfilling at Antique. But this place is a good quick fix if you're in IFC and feel like some western/japanese cakes....

4-12-2009心情麻麻, lunch 決定食點甜嘢「自我安慰」一番 , 嚟到 city'super 呢間蛋糕店. 對 display 內幾款蛋糕興趣不大, 最後買了一樽仔 caramel pudding ($22)「柄」埋 rooftop 花園慢慢歎.到麵包部俾錢再用單據 claim 貨, 店員已幫我將 pudding 放入紙盒包得靚靚, 另附上一隻小匙羹, 賣相絕對滿分 Pudding 質感極滑溜, 上面的蛋味香濃, 甜度剛好; 沉底 caramel sauce 甜中帶點甘, 同 pudding 一齊食, 又唔覺太甜, 好好食喎 唯一唔好就係 caramel sauce 內含唔少黑色一粒粒疑似「燶嘢」, 果真「焦」糖呀吓 $22 一杯, 唔算平, 不過係水準不錯的一個 creme caramel, 值得試試的. 下次食抹茶味

$22 一杯, 唔算平, 不過係水準不錯的一個 creme caramel, 值得試試的. 下次食抹茶味

4, STRAWBERRY ROLLED CAKE ($90) : CAKE ROLLED 係呢間餅店既皇牌,水準之作,一流


雖然唔係樣樣都好味,但係CAKE ROLLED又真係好有水準(好過半X)希望佢遲D可以係尖沙咀開番間

今日途經IFC,想起有間新開的蛋糕店,便特地走進City Super看看。去到看到飾位漂亮,明亮簡潔,蛋糕整齊的放在玻璃櫃內,看到也已經覺得很吸引。一看原來它的蛋糕不便宜呢,本身想買一個它的綠茶蛋卷試試看的,但要索價$100又實在有點不捨。重要的是又不知道好不好吃,花費$100買了它若不好吃的話,真的很肉痛! 所以最後我都決定買一些小件的,先試試看,好吃的才再光顧。可是不要小看那些小蛋糕,份量實在是很小很細,可是也要索價$16一件呢! 它有多款選擇,最後我要了抹茶蛋糕和法式朱古力無花果蛋糕,感到這兩個最吸引。不過說真的,兩件蛋糕也真的很不錯。蛋糕鬆軟,質感很幼,沒有粗製濫做的感覺。抹茶的味道很濃,不會太甜。另外就是法式朱古力無花果蛋糕,它面頭真的有塊無花果,略帶甜味,朱古力味很香很濃郁但又不會過甜,喜歡朱古力的不可錯過。吃畢兩件也覺得挺好的,下次經過再光顧其他款式。=)
