說回正題食物了,先來的當然是兩款甜食,店家提供的食具是專吃蛋糕的叉子,看見隻叉已經令我對此店的印象分有所提升,先談Fraoula,是一個有四層結構的蛋糕,底層是蛋糕,蛋糕之上是吉士加士多啤梨,再上又是蛋糕,最頂層的就是一層大概有八毫米的忌廉,一叉子由上向下切了一口四層都有的來吃,入口味道最強最突出的是那吉士,超強勁蛋香又超滑,相反個人認為忌廉可以再滑一點,但至少不膩而甜度適中,而店家用的士多啤梨不太酸,入口有草莓香,加上超軟綿的蛋糕,入口又是一陣雞蛋香,整體來說超好吃。

之後就來吃翻熱的French Apple Tart,一叉子壓下餅皮,餅皮確是如各食友所言腍了一點,可能是翻熱的關係吧,另外牛油香不是沒有,但就是薄了一點,但這個其實對我來說影響不大,不是我不重視牛油香,而是店家的蘋果餡實在是棒極,有着豐盛富饒的玉桂香及蘋果香,軟腍酸甜度剛好平衡,就算那些蘋果粒及蘋果片的質感是腍了點,但其味道已經叫人陶醉,但我們做事就要做得認真一點,不能因此就自滿,所以店家真的更要努力改善餅皮的問題,不然拖垮了美味的蘋果餡,就真不值得了。

吃過了美味的餅之後,就來喝杯咖啡作結了,也是與女友一人一杯吧,我當然喝Espresso,此店用的是Illy的咖啡豆,即磨再用Espresso機沖煮出來,咖啡以外觀來說,是很漂亮的啊!一隻細細的咖啡杯,跟來一隻有波浪位的小匙,先是用匙羹舀一口來猛吸猛呷,那層Crema偏薄,相信不足十份一杯厚,脂香有點不足,醇厚度及風味難免受到影響,以Illy偏高的烘焙度的豆來說,着實是較可惜,而這杯咖啡也不太夠熱,莫非店家的咖啡機未熱身好?怪不得Pull出來這個Shot味道不夠醇厚,但這杯咖啡也傳承了Illy咖啡的味道,就是帶點點頗為突出的醬果酸,喝起來味覺上有點層次吧。

女友點的Cappuccino奶泡明顯的打得夠不夠幼,而且一點也不細密,大大小小的泡在面層浮現,只消數分鐘的時間,泡層明顯的塌下不少,而且也跟Espresso同樣的不夠熱,泡層入口太鬆沒有綿密的口感,奶香也不足,奶泡方面真的不太行,至於其咖啡層的味道也是挺弱,醇度香度都偏低,但奶的鹼性明顯的被咖啡的醬果酸撞得不錯,入口確是順滑平衡,所以也絕對不會是難喝的Cappuccino。

個人認為店家的蛋糕不錯,也看得出是有誠意,可能本人不是甜品的Expertise,所以已經覺得它們的蛋糕頗為好吃,可是咖啡就真的累事了,如果要以一所咖啡店的標準來看,兩杯咖啡都未能合格,希望店家可以聆聽大家的意見吧。

08/05/2010 驟雨路經此地,見到一間別緻的甜品店, 主要都是賣精緻甜品餅,都不妨去試食一番, 入到店內都有兩三枱的客人, 都正在飲咖啡食蛋糕, 眼見都有些精緻小巧法式的蛋糕, 整齊地放置在櫥櫃內,有法式蘋果撻,杯子蛋糕....Fraoula $35----原來叫"法式士多啤梨蛋糕",或者叫Fraisier,當我正在選擇買蛋糕時,已經被鮮艷的顏色吸引著我,所以我第一時間就將它買下來了, 材料有海綿蛋糕兩片, 蛋糕中央還放了幾粒半個的士多啤梨和custard層,topping用的是馬令,即是用了砂糖和蛋白打至起泡,所以當我舀topping的馬令放入口內時,好似食緊泡泡般,都好幼滑甜美, 可惜冇用火槍燒過馬令,好像不夠完美,不過整個Fraoula都帶有好香甜的士多啤梨味, 帶有雲呢拿味的吉士都是香軟美味又可口, 海棉蛋糕也是保持濕潤,不會是硬身,難怪是法式的經典久蛋糕之一French Apple Tart $28,個tart 身不香牛油味又腍,蘋果片又腍, 令整個蘋果撻都是不脆口, 不香的蘋果味, 之後我也嘗試熱食的蘋果撻,所以我用焗爐烘熱了一陣, 不過始終令我好失望 Lemon C

Lemon Cheese Cake $28---檸檬味道清香, 令人感到好清新輕怡的感覺,可是芝身太軟, 芝味淡,消化餅也太濕而不脆,好像食cream cake 般,又冇檸片做裝飾,賣相也不是太吸引

Hazelnut Chocolate Tart $32---好香濃的朱古力,內裡有榛子碎, 食落好有咬口,朱古力的口感幼滑濃郁,不會太甜,不過tart 身都是不香脆, 食落tart 底有點腍身, 不香的牛油味, 有點不足之處

環境都是一個enjoy 下午茶的好地方, 幽靜舒適, 服務方面都好熱誠殷勤, 介紹不同的蛋糕款式給我們,當我正在選擇蛋糕時, 她們也靜心等候, 服務都可見細心體貼, 蛋糕方面的價錢都比起酒店cake shop相約, 但質素不及酒店水準, 蛋糕的份量好細又精緻, tart身方面的都是腍, cheese cake方面cream cheese味都好淡, 芝身又不實,本店令我最欣賞的是新推出的Fraoula ,都是較為特別之作, 雖然這間是法式的蛋糕店, 不過蛋糕款式不是太多, opera, 焦糖燉蛋,napoleon....等等
總的來說, Pomme同酒店的蛋糕價錢相約, 我會在選擇酒店的蛋糕不會買"pomme"的

Situated in the mist of old Wan Chai is this new cafe with delicate pasteries. It's perfect for a light snack and coffee or grab-n-go. The latte was rich and foamy served in a cute coffee mug that kept the coffee warm for quite a while. My friend ordered the soy latte, which is a healthier coffee alternative. We also had the chocolate cupcake and strawberry cheesecake. The chocolate cupcake was a bit dry for my taste but for those cupcake lovers you should definitely check out their selection. They have them with different themes like animals and to match holiday seasons. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake which had a really light and smooth texture, just like mousse, followed by a crunchy bottom.
Overall, the desserts were really tasty and the the cafe had a comfortable ambiance.

Afternoon Tea of the day, order as follow:Banana Tart - too agree with the comment downthere that it's no good the banana is a bit sour after heating and the banana paste isn't nice too. still a very big gap to compare with Zoe the banana cream tart or Awfully Choc the choco banana cake. very disappointing. the chef should really think of a way to treat this otherwise to remove it from the selection. or more and more face will be given.....Chocolat Hazelnut Tart: this is a good one. the dark

Chocolat Hazelnut Tart: this is a good one.
the dark choc on top is smooth. under it is the hazelnut paste, which i think
the sweetness is just right to balance with the dark choc. i dun agree with the below that it's like nutella (well i love nutella too!), instead,
there's tiny hazelnut pieces blended inside the paste and it gives funny texture! base of tarts (both this and the banana one) is layered:
not too hard but is crispy! (am i just the lucky one today? coz i saw ppl said the base was too hard?) on the other hand it's greasy.

Overall
the place is clean and tidy, with white tone makes ppl feel relaxed.
i love its layered tart's base.
polite smile on face.
although the tarts are not too bad, they're a bit overpriced. i would say it doesn't worth the "Zoe price" but $2-3 lower.
i'll come back (but not the banana tart anyway).

I am always curious about this shop since I work in the same neighborhood. Today, my boyfriend and I were trying to find something good for dessert so we finally decided to try this place. We bought their red velvet cake and it was really good! I do not agree with the negative comments given previously. The cupcake was surprisingly soft and not overwhelmingly sweet. In fact, the cake part wasn't sweet at all, which compliments the cream cheese topping well. The chocolate intensity was perfect for me, not too milky not too bitter. The cream cheese topping was nicely designed and the taste of it was about right...not too sweet and buttery. The topping wasn't hard as someone has critiqued, instead it was very soft and silky.

I would definitely go back for this cupcake!!!

對 cupcakes 無興趣, 2 人只叫了兩款 tart 加一杯飲品, 不過整體味道麻麻哋:

Chocolate hazelnut tart ($28): tart 底硬硬實實, 用鐵叉「拮」都有 d 難度
, 食落質感就唔脆又唔鬆化, 而味道就基本上係無的, 遑論牛油香了
餡料係 "truffle" 質地, 幾滑溜, 味道勁似 Nutella, 但甜味有點假, 感覺怪怪的, 唔喜歡. 朋友作為「朱古力魔」, 就直程食到「miu 嘴 miu 舌」...

Banana custard tart ($28): tart 底如上, 一樣唔掂; custard 幾嚡, 無 vanilla 香又無蛋香, 面頭的 banana 就係酸的, 唔好食
而朋友則覺得呢個比 chocolate tart 好...?


飲品係 hot chocolate (好似 $34): 面頭勁多奶泡及氣泡, 飲落奶味較重, 朱古力味就一般, 可幸唔會太甜. 唔差的一味, 但同我喺屋企用熱奶 + Van Houten 牌朱古力粉沖的味道差不多, 唔滿意.

環境幾骨緻, 店員們亦幾友善禮貌, 不過是日身後坐了大大聲的「4 個阿嬸一個墟」, 食完還是快閃好了.

連加一每人約 $50, 無興趣再來了. 唉, 灣仔幾時先會開返間好食的 patisserie / 甜品店?

經常途經灣仔,發現一間專賣蛋糕的小店,一直都很想去試,今天終於有機會了!愛喝coffee的我,叫了一杯cappuccino ;一個迷李牛角包;及一個香蕉撻杯coffee都ok的,但牛角包太燶了!!!香蕉撻仲差!!!!!個撻底一點都不脆,完全不新鮮!!!!!!!價錢一點都不平真係有啲失望!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

到聖誕期間..人家想起火雞之時我會想起希申甩. 再一次來到這裡,這次要了的咖啡比上次好了但也是相對不夠濃烈,和豆有關吧. 但今次的芝士餅甚滿意 因為榛子夠油 ,也香..但沒栗子那份油膩感

推門入舖,那門柄已非常吸引,係一個仿古銅色的發蛋器,店內也有其他同色的擺設,好有自己image。雖然cup cake比較似招牌出品,但因各樣東西價錢都唔平,所以我都係選擇左食味最吸引的香蕉tart$28:tart皮好硬,好似食餅咁。餡又少,所以就算如何真材實料的香蕉果肉吉士,味道都比餅皮蓋過!咁貴食個tart皮,真係唔抵!買走的Brownie明明睇到價錢牌係$15,但total收左我$46,即$46-$28=$18!!!!??總之貴啦!不過佢賣相與平時方形一磚磚唔同,好似一牌格格朱古力中的一格(可恨我心急食,沒影低)。的確好好食!!!!唔乾唔黐牙(店員說,係剛剛今日做好的關係吧),不過真係好好食,朱古力又香,又多榛子中和甜味。除左件Brownie,件tart的失勢,令我對佢其他cake,沒有再試之感。

呢一篇係後補的食評,一直都提唔起興趣去寫。。。。其實間鋪頭係我舊office附近,有次午飯時間經過見到佢正在裝修,最記得個door handle的造型係一個傳統發蛋器,幾得意喎,心入面就留下一個印象,等佢開左鋪黎試下。終於一日午飯後即意走去買個我一向喜歡食的cup cake,當日見到鋪頭仲有D工人係度執下野,我差D以為佢仲未開業,不過見入面有其他客人就入去啦。可惜cup cake只有一款(可能仲係新鋪的關係),我見其他甜點款色的賣相都唔太出眾,所以都係試下個cup cake先。外賣後返到公司放入雪櫃,下午茶時間我就拎出黎食唰。好硬,好實,好重牛油,好甜。。。。我都算食得甜,不過真係食唔落口,個cake上面的cream仲摻雜左大量牛油,食落一粒粒,仲有少少鹹味,我都知傳統的cup cake會好甜同重牛油味,不過呢個我真係接受唔到,我「吉」多兩啖就丟左lu,好浪費但真係無辦法。自從ELEMENTS的Petite無左之後(有無人知道佢係搬左還是執左?),要食好味的cup cake我就要去Coco買,唉,所以見到有好多食評話旺角的cup cakery好味,我都好想試下。不過我又唔會判Pomme

我都算食得甜,不過真係食唔落口,個cake上面的cream仲摻雜左大量牛油,食落一粒粒,仲有少少鹹味,我都知傳統的cup cake會好甜同重牛油味,不過呢個我真係接受唔到,我「吉」多兩啖就丟左lu,好浪費但真係無辦法。

自從ELEMENTS的Petite無左之後(有無人知道佢係搬左還是執左?),要食好味的cup cake我就要去Coco買,唉,所以見到有好多食評話旺角的cup cakery好味,我都好想試下。

不過我又唔會判Pomme死刑,知道店主係個有心人,有機會行過的話會再試下佢其他出品。

When you walked into Pomme you automatically feel you are in a cake shop in Paris. Petite, elegant and modern. If you like European cafe or cake shops then this is a nice place to visit with a friend, date or have a small business meeting. The cakes are hand made daily so you know that they are fresh. The service is friendly and the place attracts an attractive clientele. I enjoyed some lemonade and velvet cupcake. It was very similar to the famous Sprinkes cupcake i had in California.

I enjoyed some lemonade and velvet cupcake. It was very similar to the famous Sprinkes cupcake i had in California. I brought home the Lemon cheesecake and it was light and tasty. I will definitely be back again and relax and have a cup of tea. The pastry chef had all sorts of cute cupcakes decorated to resemble, pig, dog, cat, very cute. Great for a birthday party>

I saw their ad in 飲食男女 magazine the other day and just want to give it a try. It is a pretty shop coffee shop. The environment is pretty comfortable. However, their cakes and pastries are pretty expensive. I had a piece of Apple tart which tastes like home-made one. Nothing special.

Since my last visit, felt like trying it out again, the cake selection was rather limited last time.Totally agree that having the "apple" as their theme it lacks Apple crumble in the selection.I tried the chocolate crumble, gooey chocolate in a tart topped with wheat balls.The crust was very hard, so needed to use the fork skillfully to eat the tart.

I tried the chocolate crumble, gooey chocolate in a tart topped with wheat balls.

點了朱古力慕絲cup cake和vanilla green tea, 慕絲太甜, 蛋糕朱古力味唔夠重, 無深度, 如果唔明既話可以試下哈根大既比利時朱古力雪糕, 哈哈,vanilla 好香, 茶味淡, 可能中國人飲慣濃味少少既茶,建議店主可以試下迎合翻香港人既口味.

Came here to escape the Wanchai lunch crowd. It was almost empty this afternoon, with lots of people taking a peek inside but not actually coming in. I suppose they are curious about this well-appointed little place in the middle of the Wanchai hotchpotch of old and new buildings; the decor is more the kind of thing you'll see in upmarket areas of Central, or Causeway Bay.I needed coffee quite badly, and what better accompaniment to it than a nice bit of sweet treat. Came here to escape the Wanchai lunch crowd. It was almost empty this afternoon, with lots of people taking a peek inside but not actually coming in. I suppose they are curious about this well-appointed little place in the middle of the Wanchai hotchpotch of old and new buildings; the decor is more the kind of thing you'll see in upmarket areas of Central, or Causeway Bay.

I needed coffee quite badly, and what better accompaniment to it than a nice bit of sweet treat. I was deciding between the appetizing-looking apple tart, they have apples aplenty here both in edibles and inedibles: a lamp shaped like an apple, apple-shaped ornaments and other little nik naks. But I did not detect any apple crumble - surely, an obvious enough item to offer?

Obviosuly the sweet was the main event in this pastry shop, and I finally went for the heavier-looking chocolate crumble tart: I was told the 8 or so maple syrup-coloured marble-sized balls atop the tart of chocolate creme is the depiction of crumble, and has an almond taste to bring out the accent of the chocolate underneath. I thought I would try out this concoction as deconstructing it would be half the fun already.

For savoury I asked for the tuna sanwich which was freshly-made on the house. The young female server was very helpful and pleasant, she asked how I wanted my sandwich - baquette or "square" bread; toasted or not; lettuce and cheese? I was pleased with the attention to detail, especially the "it would take a little while" note when we had finished designing my sandwich.

Sitting down to look at the effort that has made to do up the place, I was really impressed with the small details, including the lighting and background french music. The crockery had also been thought out - the cup had a "swervy" handle that made holding up the cup very comfortable, and they serve fresh milk (warm as well) in a tiny little bottle with a resealable top. But for the size of the place, you would have been forgiven if you had thought that you were in a hotel coffee shop.

Back to the food:

(1) Tuna sandwich: I was a tad disappointed that it was white bread that was used (I guess in Cantonese "square bread" means white bread). But this was the only fault I could find with the sandwich, for it was layered with a generous smattering of tuna lettuce, plus a slice of cheese (albeit pre-packed). After one half of the thing I was already a bit concerned that I wouldn't have room left for the tart. I asked the manager/proprietress(?) for a doggy bag, and she replied that she would pack it in plastic wrap as the contents would fall out otherwise. Another sign of service with a big heart.

(2) Chocolate crumble tart: This was surprisingly light to the point of being a bit disappointing. I think the main problem was the chocolate creme in the tart. A firmer ganache type of filling would probably have fleshed this out a bit more, and provided the much-needed contrast between the balls of crumble that were present in each bite. The crumble balls themselves were lacking in taste somewhat, I had to search for the elusive almond taste especially that the balls were wanting in texture as well. The only upside to this dessert was its lightness which would probably appeal to a lot dainty office ladies of which I am definitely not lol. I want my food with lots of soul and character.

(3) Coffee: A safe crowd-pleasing bimbo blend again (oh dear), although the warm milk helped gain some points for a pass. A clean finish, too clean methinks, and too much of a no-brainer on the palate in my opinion.

At the end I thought they are trying hard to emulate a Japanese type of eatery, you know, nice ambience, dinky little tidbits, slightly flat tastes just enough to tickle your tastebuds without waking them up, and great attention to detail with a load of heart. But I think the real scandal here is the dozen or so tarts displayed at the shop window that are "freshly made each morning and binned at the end of day" -this definitely is not a thing that anyone with a conscience would want to hear. It made you feel that part of the price you paid goes towards this unnncessary and wasteful act.

To sum it up, I am not sure which I prefer: great and loud food made by grumpy chefs with loads of character, or subdued and quiet food produced by demure and polite cooks, with tastes that just float by by like one of a thousand fleeces of cloud in the hazy autumn sky. I have decided I'd rather a big thunderstorm that soaks me up head to toes, but at least it's glorious.
