We visited on a weekday lunch hour, pretty glad we came at noon sharp as the place was quickly packed with customers. This Chiu Chow restaurant offered complimentary Kung Fu tea which are like shots of tea that one chucks down before the dim sum items. First up we had the Dim Sum Pork Dumplings Duo - Siu Mai and Fun Guo. This was a great pick as there was only two of us and we got to try out two varieties for the price of one, instead of having to order the Siu Mai and Fun Guo separately. And the

First up we had the Dim Sum Pork Dumplings Duo - Siu Mai and Fun Guo. This was a great pick as there was only two of us and we got to try out two varieties for the price of one, instead of having to order the Siu Mai and Fun Guo separately.
And then we had the Steamed Black Truffle Mushroom Bun which I consider modern fusion dim sum, as one does not usually find this item in typical Chinese dim sum restaurants. The rich truffle aroma and the juicy mushroom bits tasted heavenly. Highly recommended for vegetarian eaters!
Next up, the more savory dish would be the Pan-Fried Radish Cake. The portion was generous and was nicely fried with egg and dried crunchy veggie bits.
And I find a dim sum meal incomplete if one does not order a cheong fun dish (I.e steamed rice rolls). They had various cheong fun choices - beef, BBQ pork and shrimp etc. We went with my favourite one which is the one with crispy fried dough fillings.
And finally, the star dish of the day is the Baked Abalone & Diced Chicken Puff. The whole abalone is a nice bite size, soft and chewy, and the buttery puff just takes it to the next level.
