Been a while since I’ve had yakitori, so we’re here to try out Sumibi EN Dining located in Wanchai that specialises in charcoal-grilled skewers 🍢🍡Pic 1️⃣: 免治肉棒 - $65 hkd 🐓— Well seasoned and went perfectly with the rich egg yolk. Thought the ratio of meat to soft bone could’ve been a bit more balanced as I like my meatballs with a little more crunch. — Nicely grilled, skin was super crispy and the meat was nice and juicy.

— The shrimp was huge, super plump and juicy. The chicken skin was crispy and contrasted nicely with the shrimp texture.
Pic 4️⃣: 豆乳牛肉咖喱乌冬 - $88 hkd 🍜
— Flavours weren’t as rich as I expected as the curry was a bit bland. Udon was al-dente and chewy.

— Loved this unique combination! The sweetness of the grapes went so well with the savoury, smoky flavours of the pork.

— Crispy exterior but lacked seasoning and flavour.

— The meat was cooked perfectly and was extremely juicy. Very well seasoned too.

— Highly recommend the cheese mochi! Super soft and chewy, the cheese on the inside was so gooey and decadent.
— Sweet potato was underwhelming and thought the butter really overshadowed the natural sweetness.
— Ox tongue was thick and succulent but lacked a rich beef taste.
— Miso flavours were strong, but the rice ball was a bit too mushy on the inside and didn’t have a crispy exterior.

— Really enjoyed the tofu skin beef roll which was unique and full of flavour.
— The liver was perfectly grilled and very tender.
— The shiso flavours were strong but not overpowering and went nicely with the pork.
— Thought this really resembled cha siu 😂 Well seasoned and fragrant.
