There are too many choices of western restaurants in the Tin Hua-Causeway Bay area, thinking about where to go could be a big problem. Tonight, we decided to have dinner at ETNA, which is a new restaurant in Tin Hau.The restaurant is quite nice and stylish, with two balconies allowing you to sit outdoor for fresh air and smoke, observing the street from the top. The waitress explained the menu one by one, sharing her suggestions on what is the best to order for us. We ordered the Sautéed Giant Squid, Volcano Seafood Platter, Green Ginger Ale, Frozen Mediterranean, and Baked Truffle Alaska as dessert.
The mocktail arrived first, perfectly tasty especially in summer, it makes you calm and relaxes, feels like sitting in the Mediterranean Sea, I have never tasted the same in other restaurants.
The waitress explained to us, Sautéed Giant Squid is relatively softer than ordinary squid and thicker, we love it so much, the texture is like having a marshmallow. Cooked with chorizo, capers, and potatoes, a little bit spicy but very good for an appetizer.
Volcano Seafood Platter is our main dish, quite a big portion even for two people, we couldn’t finish all. Which contain lobsters, clams, mussels, scallops, and scampis, they are very fresh and we love the scampis very much, those shrimps paste inside the head is delicious.
Finally, the dessert is Baked Truffle Alaska. The waitress pours the burning rum on the cream, to make it like an exploded volcano, afterward she sliced some fresh truffle on top, the smell of the truffle mixed with rum is one of the most beautiful things in this world.
Overall, ETNA is a good place for dinner with reasonable price among Tin Hua-Causeway Bay area, can’t be missed.
