Chueca derives its name as an homage to the vibrant and spirited district in Madrid, Spain where renowned for its vivacious atmosphere and delectable gastronomy. Within the walls of Chueca, one is greeted by an ambience that exudes warmth and hospitality. The offerings here are nothing short of Spanish culinary delights, from the time-honored tapas to the fragrant paellas. The Seafood Platter was an extravagant feast for those who love the flavors of the sea. The succulent Boston lobster, paired with the briny yet buttery oysters on the half shell, showcase the essence of the ocean. The plump tiger prawns, fresh and cooked to perfection, melt-in-the-mouth. And the tuna tartare provides a light yet flavorful counterbalance to the richer lobster and oysters. Together the platter offers a memorable celebration of the bounty from the sea.

These are good selections of typical simple dishes. While the flavors were undoubtedly enjoyable and the presentation commendable, it played it safe with standard offerings that fell short of truly outstanding.

The half-roasted spring chicken impresses with its simple yet skilful execution. The lemon marinade permeates the meat, infusing it with a bright tangy flavor that stands out. The skin is crisp yet moist within, boasting a rich roasted chicken flavor. The homemade steak cut fries was equally outstanding with their robust flavour and enticing aroma.

With great dollops of raspberry jam, the combination of flavors and acidity has tantalized my taste buds. While the portion may have been petite, I found it ideal as a delectable dessert to conclude a satisfying repast. The taste was delightful, boasting a captivating aroma. However, I had expected the cake with a creamier and more mousse-like texture, and it has fell slightly short of my expectations.
