The long-awaited meal at Jean May. Finally got to try this popular neighbourhood French bistro after 2 months of waiting. Jean May carries a small menu but everything is so hearty and delectable 💕𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲 ($𝟭𝟴𝟴) - creamy, succulent and well-packed with flavours. Mixed with ample capers to add a hint of acidity and tangy flavor.𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗺 ($𝟭𝟰𝟴) - a simple salad dish that's so underrated. Definitely my favourite! The Baby Gem Lettuce had a super crunchy texture with lovely sweet flavour. Also

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲 ($𝟭𝟴𝟴) - creamy, succulent and well-packed with flavours. Mixed with ample capers to add a hint of acidity and tangy flavor.

𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗺 ($𝟭𝟰𝟴) - a simple salad dish that's so underrated. Definitely my favourite! The Baby Gem Lettuce had a super crunchy texture with lovely sweet flavour. Also well-paired with walnuts, parmesan and sliced red onions.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁 ($𝟵𝟴) - creamy and smooth liver parfait, well-balanced with sweet and sour red onion compote. The homemade baguettes were also nicely toasted and crispy.

𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲

𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲 ($𝟭𝟬𝟴) - simple looking but sooo incredible! A bit pricey for the portion but it’s so delicious! Super moist and spongy, packed with lemon flavor. The crème fraîche was rich and creamy; the blueberry compote also goes really well with the lemon cake.
