Time really does fly. It's now my second month with this job after graduation and I can't even believe it myself! While it is honestly a highly fast-pace industry that I am working in, and working through lunches everyday is not all that fun, I do feel glad that I am here, taking on new challenges and learning a lot everyday! However I must admit that sometimes I still have down times, times where I feel pressurised, unsecured, blue especially on Mondays because I have weekly KPI reviews with my
Anyways I know there is no way out. Ok sounded a bit negative, but what I meant is this is the path to success. I must learn from my mistakes and progressively make improvements. There is really no point to blame fate or be all negative about it because at the end of the day I have no choice and I know it! I am a fresh grad and I just have to cope with whatever I face because everyone go through this phrase at some point in their life in order to get what they want, right? To maintain my high positive energy in the long run, I need to find ways to release my stress. I started to look for places that are great for chilling. Recently, my friends and I have spotted this cute little upstair bar in LKF. It was tiny indeed, yet extremely cozy which made it perfect for girls' talk. Over some Cava and food, we did nothing other than gossip and talking bs. I mean this is exactly what luxury means to me. Stress-free, HEA, and laugh whole-heartedly at whatever goes in from the ears. Billiant. Fin de Claire n.3 we ordered were briny and not very fleshy as always. As long as the oysters were fresh, they can't really go wrong with some good wine or champagne, can they? We had this Lobster Bisque here and I swear this is one of the best I have tried in HK. As known, a whole large fresh lobster, where large defines as its claw bigger than any one of our faces, was used to cooked 3 portions of lobster bisque only! After days of simmering and reduction, here left the essence of the soup which was so rich and intense, yet not at all over-seasoned.
PS. I recommand ordering this cup size instead of the normal portion that came in a large bowl if you want to try more of their food. It's good instead but it's just so strong in flavour that it may hinder your appetite on the other dishes. The Lobster Sliders is a must-order as well. The bun was pan-fried in olive oil, leaving a crunchy texture in the interior. The huge chunks of lobster meat was sweet and beautiful as expected, but what made it really stood out is special house spicy mayo. It was really tasty and made a perfect dish for sharing. I didn't expect the Steamed Canadian Blue Mussels to be so irresistable. Not only were the mussels plump and juicy, the soup was where all the flavours reduced to with a bit garlic added to it. So GOOD it was! This new Brunwsick Lobster's La Wenberg was lovely as well. A thick slice of round toast fried in olive oil was topped with lobsters meat and some sauce that tasted really similar to the bisque we just had. Though I felt that the flavours here were quite intense and complicated that I would actually prefer a lighter sauce instead. The Garlic grilled lobster was meaty and delectable as the lobster itself was seriously very fresh. Though I did thought that the crispy breadcrumb layer on top was slightly thick. Roasted veggies were another wow factor, especially the potatoes as they were mushy yet with a natural crispy coat.
Every morning when I am going back to the office, I feel slightly intimidated yet I know I am ready to take on challenges. Deep inside I miss school so so much, but I feel immature to say stuff like I don't want to grow up. Because life is life. You have taken so much from the society, and now it's the time to contribute back.
