Seated away from the harbor-view windows. Didn’t request at time of booking and didn’t mind; but overheard some prima donna shrilly demanding her window table.
Nice light-up menus.
By the glass Wine list selection not bad.
Ordered a glass of Burgundy red.
Here’s what we had.
Sour dough with butter. Nicely done- lovely crust with tender flesh.
King Crab Cake with Tartar sauce. Recommended by server as a signature.
Half-dozen Gillardeau oysters. Tasted very nice even without the accompanying red wine vinegar and Cocktail sauce.
Unlimited visits to Salad bar. (Server emphasized that each order was limited to one person and not for sharing.) Particularly worth noting: the Comte, smoked pineapple and the smoked salmon.
Nice curtained semi-private area seating 4 next to the salad bar.
Korean Hanwoo Striploin. Liked the slightly sweet tasting meat and even marbling. Roasted garlic was done just right.
Came with the selection of bespoke knives, salt and mustard.
Side dishes: Cheese Macaroni- very filling. Garlic Broccolini. A bit disappointing- tasted boiled; preferred charred, particularly given the nice functioning grill on display.
Dessert time. Spoilt for choices.
Citrus Pavlova atop Yuzu Chantilly cream, lemon peel confit and Pomelo sorbet. Very refreshing esp after a hearty meal.
Double espresso.
In summary: excellent service. Good quality ingredients, as reflected by the price tag. Liked it, but didn’t love it.
